  just wondering....take a 40 year old male ('cos he's an ex-elder!

  i thought for a minute that you were describing me! i'm 40-something, but never wuz an elderette.

  i sure hope so. at least i think so. yes, there are allot of hurtles to overcome. in time though, as in my case, you realize allot of who and what i am, i would have been weather or not i was a dubbette.

  i think i am recovering well, not patting myself on the back though. i base that statement on the person closest to me and how she see's me now. ask her for her opinion if you like. maybe she'll volunteer it for you

  Qualifications of Elders

  in my experience with elders in the past i was counseled for many things, most trivial and stupid, but some were serious issues.

  one thing i noticed was that the elders always seemed to approach issues with some preconceived ideas, or they would try to read between the lines rather than actually listen to what i was saying.

  others i know have had similar experiences.

  i have never met a single elder in 40 years of borg-absorbtion that had any kind of qualified training in the real sense of the word, like your asking.

  i was just thinking, when i was a young teenager, i started an attempt to become fashion conscious.

  i started noticing what people were wearing, even at the kh.

  ok, especially at the kh!!!!.

  Change of "look" after leaving the organization

  i was wondering how many men here let their beard grow, when they decided to quit the organization.

  since having a beard in the jw's is not permitted, it would seem appropriate to let one's beard grow just to show that we don't go by their rules anymore.

  maybe for others it was growing a mustache or maybe shaving their head.. did you change your "look" right after leaving the organization?.

  generally, the uk is a coldish to temperate sort of climate.

  air conditioning is comparitively rare simply because there's not usually much need for it.

  The main problem is that the Society misrepresented the reason why they changed the donation policy, or at least they were less than forthright.

  i'll say.

  it wasnt until 2001 that i learned that, they never ever said WHY. good thing for 'postate sites and the internet to keep on spread the "good news", heh?

  the ngo should provide an audited annual financial statement, conducted by a qualified, independent accountant .

  my wife and i are in the process of pulling together the threads and links on the un and wt- as we were going over some sites we ran across the above, can you believe that the wt would not tell it's 6milion members the financial status of gods organization, yet would volunteer to tell satan's number one tool and agent on earth the un.

  greetings - can anyone confirm for me whether these articles were officially submitted by the watchtower society to the un (to keep up their ngo membership), or did the un just use these articles and post them on their website without the society necessarily having officially submitted them?

  i guess the wts had to have given their consent somehow, as a minimum.

  what are the mechanics of proving one is upholding un ideals to renew their library card membership?
