my conscience will no longer allow me to give talks or speak to others in the door-to-door work.. i'm feeling really apprehensive about what i need to do, i know for a fact that my wife is going to be devestated.. .

i personally waited for a c.o. visit and handed my resigation in writing, stating simply...i could no longer fullfill my responsibilities and to remove me as such.

worked fine.

however the local dub elders wern't to impressed by my going over their heads.

I GOT TWO NEW RETURN VISITS TODAY!!

i do have two new return visits but they are not from field service.. my womens club went to a local nursing home today.

we brought the elderly gifts, we sang songs with them, and we brought our pets, and listened to them.

they were so happy to see us and share some of their lifes experiences with us.. it was different to go to a nursing home with no ulterior motives like pushing jw literature.. it felt right to just give them what they wanted most.

as a person whose mother in law is in one of those homes....

i can appreciate how much she appreciates a visit or a call. i call my m-i-l every week. she really appreciates it. alot. almost has me in tears sometimes.

so....good job. i enjoy just stopping in to say hello without j.w. motives, just to say hi and make her feel good.

The Spirit Of The Law, Legalism and the WTS

it has been noticed that when theological issues develop regarding wts policy over certain matters, such as the wts present affiliation with the un as a ngo, defenders of the wts policy often miss the spirit of what is truly happening and thus miss a wonderful opportunity to examine their own faith and motives, and perhaps to catch a glimpse of the soft underbelly of the wts and what it truly stands for.

for example, it is quite obvious that the wts has violated the spirit of its own long held denigration of the un, politics and involvement in the social affairs of the world by taking advantage of the protection and programs offered by the un to its ngos.

to theocratically allow this affiliation, it is certain that scriptures would have been searched and discussed by the then gb, a vote taken and the decision sanctioned.

as a witness what occupation did/do you hold?.

i was speaking with a friend of mine that is a former witness and we remarked about how many of us have worked in some sort of janitorial work.

i'm a parts manager in a truck dealer. we sell stuff
trucks, plows, truck bodies, catapiller engines, alison transmisions,
{i wont name the line of trucks, that would give me away} all big stuff, some smaller trucks....s.u.v.'s,...

but no stinking cars!

zev's glad he made the transition to trucks....cars...are for the birds
