There is one type of cop that I don’t like. You are driving 40 in a 35 mph zone and you don’t get a warning you get ticketed. Some cops are to the letter of the law. I’m also not a fan of setting up roadblocks just to see if someone is impaired. I know the Supreme Court has allowed it but I think police should act if there is probable cause.

Cops now have to deal with punks in their face. These people challenge the cops at every turn. Top police brass and mayors and city councils undermine the police whenever they can but when THEY are in need they will call the police for help. Hypocrites!!!

I think cops are getting a bum rap. Are there some cops who shouldn’t be cops? Of course. Are some over eager? Some are. Do they ever make mistakes? Everyone does.
But the abuse and condemnation of our police forces is not doing anyone any good except for the lawless. The criminals and their sympathizers are happy to see police forces diminished or even abolished! They do not want law and order.
What is this world coming to? It’s sickening.

Derek Chauvin - The Right to a Fair Trial
by Simon inanyone following the derek chauvin trial?.
if you are actually following it, not just listening to the media, you will likely realize that there is a huge gap between what is going on in court and what is being reported in the media.. if the trial was fair, i think he should be acquitted.
there is plenty of reasonable doubt about the cause of death (his dealer doesn't want to testify because he could be guilty of 3rd degree murder for selling him a fatal amount of fentanyl) and even doubt over whether the officer even had his knee on the guys neck or did anything counter to what they were meant to do as per policy.. but is it fair?

Do You Think White People Are Being Discriminated Against?
by minimus insome call it reverse discrimination.
whatever you want to refer to as, in your opinion, are white people being unfairly picked on?
it seems acceptable that if you are white you are viewed with disdain.

I Care a Lot (2020) One of the worst movies I think I've ever seen
by TD inmy wife and i were intrigued by the trailer, which looked like a humorous, over the top, dark comedy.. the story centers around the unscrupulousness of a female attorney named marla grayson (rosamund pike) who makes her living by preying on old people.
grayson has her victims declared mentally incompetent, locks them away in a care facility she has bought off and then liquidates and pockets their assets as their court appointed guardian.. (spoilers ahead).
ms. grayson humorously makes the mistake of singling out a seemingly helpless retiree name jennifer peterson (dianne wiest) as her next target.. grayson however, quickly discovers that peterson has millions of dollars in diamonds in a safe deposit box and far from being helpless is the mother of roman lunyov, (peter dinklage) a russian mafia figure who is not terribly happy with this turn of events.. up to this point, the movie was great.
