i knew a few witnesses who were very proud of the fact that their kids were homeschooled.
years ago, i would raise my eyebrows wondering why these families couldn’t simply integrate their kids with other “worldly” kids.
at this point in time, with so many theories being pushed on kids and their parents, i can see why parents, if they are qualified, could instruct their kids themselves.

for years everyone was told they had to get the flu shot.

Otwo, I was raised to believe that being an elder was my purpose. I did experience some jealousy from others because I was the youngest appointed elder in the District. So, some people thought I was wonderful while others would (rightfully) say how can this kid counsel me about my kids and my wife of many years when he has almost no experience?

Truth, did your father lose his zeal for the Witnesses? He was constantly barraged with mean judgmental people.
i just watched excerpts from his cnn town hall event and something is seriously wrong with him.
he can’t put together a sentence without getting lost, tripping on his own words, forgetting what he is talking about.……this is embarrassing.
and it’s not because he has a stutter!

Truth, very interesting perspective! I can see it all happening. Plus as was noted, if someone said they had the heavenly calling, they were often viewed as weirdos.
