What's incredible is that this is a WT study article. The Dubs will put up their hands and faithfully anwer these words. Sadly, the great majority will not realize this is typical cult indoctrination and intimidation. I also agree, they must be preparing the masses for something.

Keep following our stupid rules - God requires it
by dmouse inoctober 1st 2002 watchtower.
page 16 para 20. strong faith, in turn, fortifies us to obey jehovah, even when his requirements seem to go contrary to human reasoning.. .
para 22how important, therefore, that we have an obedient attitude toward that 'slave'!.

How to Keep JWs Away.
by Undecided inmy wife just told me about a guy where she worked who told her how he got rid of the jws at his door.
when he saw them comming up the drive way he took off his shirt and just cracked the door enough for them to see his bare chest as he bent over sidways.
he said,"we are nudist and you will have to take off your clothes if you come in.

I got one! Why not tell them right off the bat that you're an apostate and would be glad to talk about their religion!

Thanks for your post Randy. I've visited the Freeminds website dozens of times to read the fabulous articles there, and I want to congradulate you on a site well prepared and thoughtout. Definitely most JWs surfing the net and stopping by Freeminds will lift their eyebrows when they start reading some of the stuff posted there. In fact, it was my first stop once I started surfing. It lead to a process where I started to deprogram myself from over 20 years of indoctrination and intimidation. Now I fully understand why the WTS doesn't want the brotherhood to surf the net! Keep up the excellent work in helping people like myself to come to know the real truth about the WTS. Thank You!

This will be a golden opportunity for the leadership to quote scriptures and encourage the flock to dig deeeeep into their pockets so as to advance kingdom interests with donations.

New Tract-Youths What Will You Do With Your Life
by Scarlet ini was wondering if any of you have read this tract that was given out at the district convention .. i found in this tract they are pushing the fulltime ministry more than ever before.
they in so many words say if you are not a fulltime minister you are not serving god.
it stated that youths today should not strive for academic success.

I personally haven't read the tract. But I see it's falling mostly on deaf ears. Elders in my congregation have growing kids in their teens who are graduating from high school and I don't hear the parents and/or kids talking about pioneering of Bethel service, but instead on going to college or university to get higher education. Which is great! This means the WTS must continually publish material encouraging youth not to go to higher education but into pioneering, because they figure that perhaps 5% will listen. Which is acceptable, since there is always a certian percentage of die-hard fanatics in any group, including high control groups such as the JWs. As for anyone who has sibblings trapped in this because of their parents, I tell you be patient. A few words spoken discreetly every now and then could eventually change someone's ideas.

Creepiest poster of all time?
by The_Bad_Seed inwhile having most enjoyed my 4 month tenure here at jwc, i have come across quite a few posters that leave me with this vomitous lynchian feeling in my stomach after having read their messages and responses or retorts to the community - not because they speak of sickening things, but because they are really, really goddamn creepy.
in my opinion, the creepiest poster i have come across is comforter.
he may not be the worlds greatest writer, or even all that scary, but he creeps me out nonetheless.. cast your votes for creepiest poster of all time.

People, don't jump on the man (or woman). He is obviously not fluent in English, this being probably his/her second language. I praise this person for at least trying. People who visit this site are not necessarily English speaking americans. There could be immigrants who never went to school in English and nevertheless try their best to communicate in this language. So back off and try instead to understand his message. I say this in sincere friendship.

Scripture to Back Beliefs
by Gritsgirl inwe have close friends who secretly became jw's.
now that they are "out" they say that war is wrong and our son shouldn't join the military.
we know that war is not what god wants, however, we need scripture to back defending our country and protecting our loved ones.

Hey MikeMusto, I don't beleive the Christians who listened to Christs words were slaughtered in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. They followed Jesus' prophesy and left that city in 66 A.D. As for Cornelius, there is no indication he resigned as a soldier after baptism. Also Matthew 8: 5-10 recounts how Jesus healed a slave of an army officer. Jesus didn't ask him to quit the military first. Then theres Luke 3:10-14 where military people asked John the Baptizer:" What shall we do also?". He didn't answer 'quit the military', but answered in a completely different manner.

This was to be expected. Bill Bowen and his associates are now viewed at dangerous apostates who spoke out publicly against the Mother Organization. And since this is a religion where faith is shown not in Jesus Christ but on an earthly organization, it is very easy to stumble the average Dub once he/she realizes the Org is NOT guided by God nor Jesus nor the Holy Spirit but by old men who live insular lives in an institution. Attacking the Org is like personally attacking a Dub, and they will defend it viciously.
