The two witness rule without a confession was put into practice on many so called sins or bad social behavior, not just child sexual abuse.

I do like that one about treating others as you would like to be treated yourself.
Sure there are indeed valuable socialized concepts which are still useful and beneficial for mankind, the basic tenets of Christianity are just that.
But before those were established there were the ancient Hebrew socialized laws of behavior which many were simply not , such as ......
Children who dishonor their parents should be put to death.
Children should be punished by striking them with a rod or stick.
A rapist against an unwed girl can buy or pay a dowry to the parents of the girl and marry her even if she does not want to.
Serious hurtful crimes against people can be dismissed without paying a penalty if the said perpetrator does not admit to the accused action and there were not two witnesses to the event.
The list goes on and on.

Quite impractical to emulate the social standards of behaviour of the 3000 year old ancient Hebrews , human knowledge has expanded quite a bit since then.

I've met a lot of elders who were greedy and drunks,
So does that mean loyal JW should separate these men from the congregation ?

Cults and Their Charismatic Leaders Part 1
by 1234 inpeople know of many cult leaders’ and their charismatic personalities, with their fringe beliefs and lust for power and how they have inspired hundreds to follow their unconventional philosophies — with often-tragic results.
charles manson, david koresh, jim jones, bhagwan shree rajneesh and others have gained international notoriety for exposing the dark side of humanity.. however what about the cults that went main stream.
i guess we could throw in jesus and even adolf hitler.

Unique Words and Expressions Of Jehovah’s Witnesses
by minimus insystem of things comes to mind.
what does that mean to anyone not a jw?.
how long have you been in the truth?

JWS like to identify themselves as being " In The Truth " and identify non JWS as being worldly. ( Evil )
Other religious organizations do the same though, calling themselves brothers and sisters.
Makes them feel superior, which also makes them arrogant and self righteous .

Fred Franz was once charismatic leader of the JWS, who concocted doctrines which to date have killed thousands.
Such as refusing vaccinations and blood transfusions.
Men who partake it upon themselves proclaiming they are god's guided spokesmen for all mankind can be dangerous and harmful to those accept that self made proclamation.

The JWS cult cant produce a charismatic leader now because it was built up by past charismatic leaders, ie. F Franz, who bullshitted far too much.
In essence the dirty deeds have been done already.
