The Narrow Road

i know that it has been some time since i posted last; working full-time and attending law school full-time sort of commands a great deal of... well, time... and as a result i have been a bit remiss in serving god's household, at least as far as sharing with you all here what i have received in the manner that i did previously.
thankfully, jah is not as "exacting" as many have made him out to be (as demonstrated by the life, love and compassion of his son, my lord, jaheshua mischajah), and so i have had the loving freedom to live my life, which i have done with much joy!

Generation Change
by slugga ini left the org slightly before the change in the "generation that was alive in 1914" thing was announced and wondered, what were peoples in the congregations reactions after this was announced and did it you notice people falling away because of it?
has it had a damaging effect?

The WT has always had this double talk type of policy. I call it the "love, hate, are you loving?, now you hate" type of policy.

Please help! I have NO idea what to do with this!
by Elsewhere inat work we are supposed to setup "goals" for a "performance review" later in the year.
i *hate* things like this because i don't understand what i'm supposed to put in the document.
it is far too subjective with no defined requirements that i can wrap my brain around.

Society's recall of older books
by rekless indoes anybody remember when the wtbts ask all the congregations to bring back all the old outdated books.
i think it was in the late eighties.
there was an announcement from the podium, return old books so they could be returned to new york.. i was too lazy to go through my books and take them in.

Come on, folks!
The books were ordered destroyed for a good reason: to avoid confusion!
Just think about it: a book came out five years earlier boldly saying "this wicked generation will not pass away" and then a new book is released that reads "we have to penetrate deeper into the meaning of 'generation' as spoken of by Jesus. By using the word pho-ni-laus-kas, usually translated by greek scholars as 'contemporary', he clearly showed we ought to have the long view in mind... blah blah blah...".
The brodars and sistahs at this point are thinking "what the #$&$%*#@"....
You see? That's bound to cause some confusion, as you can imagine... So what's the best solution? Let's make a little bonfire of the damn old books. Problem solved.

Mikel didn't tell you how to identify the Jude-asses. Obviously at least SOME of them must be in positions of authority. I think it is better to play safe and ignore the whole lot of them, and just do what Jehovah himself personally tells you to do.
I know in my case I must be doing OK, because Jehovah hasn't told me to change anything yet.
I'll bet it's the same for you Terry, and for everyone else here.
