Primarily it is to help long-time faithful servants of Jehovah, who come well recommended, but are no longer able to care for their own physical needs.

HOW DOES IT WORK? You will fund yourself to the extent that your finances and income will permit up to our required fee level until your personal financial capital reduces to £3,000. At this point charitable can be provided, if you meet the critera You will be assessed as to personal financial circumstances, then Jah-Jireh will take a view on funding your care on the basis of these financial circumstances. Should your capital increase beyond the £3,000 limit then you will need to fund yourself at our required fee level until your capital again reduces to the £3,000 level at which time the charitable support will be re- assessed. You will be expected to disclose your full financial circumstances, and contribute the majority of your income to Jah-Jireh as payment towards your care, accommodation, food etc. Out of your income you will be able to keep a personal allowance equal to the local authority personal allowance allowed under their funding

Jah-Jireh Homes of America is a non-profit initiative formed to care for aging Jehovah’s Witnesses who need assistance with aspects of daily living and are no longer able to stay in their own home. Each facility is designed to provide a caring environment for faithful servants of Jehovah—a place where they can feel safe, loved, and appreciated. The residence buildings will allow Christian witnesses to maintain a healthy spiritual routine, engage socially with fellow witnesses, and associate with a local congregation. The residents will be accommodated in a beautifully appointed facility that is designed to allow "aging in place." The highly trained staff will be composed exclusively of brothers and sisters.

All board members are Jehovah’s Witnesses.

I learned of this a week ago and did a lot of research into Jah-Jireh homes. Although advertised as a "charity" it is only available to "dedicated, baptized JWs in good standing". This enterprise has WT written all over it. Oh....although it's a charity, it costs as much as any other similar facility to live at. So much for being a charity. If you are not a JW, they don't let you in....period. It is staffed by JWs only. And, they abide by WT rules in every aspect. Similar to WT, residents pay top dollar for the "loving care" they receive and J-J also subsidizes with donations from JWs (just like WT).

@ emeth. Really? You are aware, of course, that the WT was NOT neutral in it's early years, right? You do know that smoking, blood transfusions, "worldly" holidays, "pagan" practices, etc. were all a part of "god's organization" and his "pure worship". So, if that's what god wanted, why did he allow decades to go by before 'instructing' his people about what they should be doing????

He made them stop serving that warmongering satan,.. he made them stop killing people in wars and armed conflicts

Read to OT, emeth. God has no problem with killing, wars and armed conflicts. In fact, the entire history of Israel is a record of his god-sanctioned genocides and murder. And, don't forget god's upcoming Armageddon, where he relishes the murder of billions of people.

Finally, if god "made them" [Jehovah's Witnesses] stop serving Satan (your words, not mine), it doesn't sound like a free choice. Sounds to me like god forced them...which is usually the only means by which god gets his way. By the way, emeth, JWs are not the only religion that are neutral to war, do not smoke and are united.

Smiddy, to answer your question: the first 100 years of Jesus' rule are unimpressive. Upon his enthronment as King, the very first thing that happened is Satan won- by starting WW1 and imprisoning Rutherfraud and 8 other WT big wigs, and by WTs admission, for all purposes shut down the preaching work. Then Jesus had his "organization" publish a series of false prophecies that made them a laughing stock of the entire world. Jesus also doesn't seem to know what he believes, for he keeps changing his mind by having his "sole representitives" on earth frequently flip-flop on key doctrinal teachings, which often contradict themselves in absurd ways.

If the first 100 years are a preview of the next 900, it should be a bumpy, unimpressive ride of uncertainty and frustration.

congregations who already have a loan from the society will no longer have to pay back the loan but the amount pledged should not be less than the current monthly repayments to the society.

Past discussions here involved "rumors" and "fanatical speculation" that the WT would come out with a revised NWT and that the GB may declare themselves the "Faithful and Discreet Slave", etc. Those 'speculations' turned out to be absolutely correct.

Once you rule out the impossible, whatever's left, no matter how improbable, usually turns out to be correct.

.

Time will tell but I have a feeling a lot of what's been discussed here will turn out to be correct, in one form or another.

Waiting for projects to be approved and never getting done

The money only goes one way: to Brooklyn. WT will collect hundreds of millions of dollars for these building funds, then when it comes time to distribute that money, WT will claim that donations have fallen short- the R&F are slacking-there is not enough to proceed. How will WT resolve that? Ask for even more money from the R&F.

Since WT never discloses its finances, who's to know??

QB: I didn't read in that letter that cong's that is holding large balances are to collapse these and send it into the Society. Most of these funds are in their Maintenace Acct's for maintenance needs.

It's not discussed in this letter but WT does demand that congregations keep only minimal funds with the cong. The rest goes to HQ:
