The CC chose the books they canonized into the Bible based on popular opinion and what fit into what the Church already taught as true. They ignored the extant writings which contradicted their pre-conceived beliefs but had just as much validity.

The dumest thing an elder ever said to me..
by new hope and happiness inconversation with an elder...i said " did you watch due south yesterday" and he said " ive got far more important things to do".
i mean that comment of his got me to thinking and wondering, and made me see he was missing out on living..and i think that comment was the straw that broke this boys faith, and started my i dont want to be a witness anymore.
kind of wierd how a simple question opened my eyes.. and now as i write this i am watching " the rebel" a 1950s western series, and its great and its even better my 9 year old is watching with me..and there is nothing more important than being happy.. .

Your friend is unaware of the two pages the elders have not read to the congregation.
From feedback I've gotten, JWs in general do not understand this new arrangement; partially because they have not been privileged with full disclosure, and partially because JWs are braindead (not their fault- they are victims of their training).
Incidentally, JWs always think "apostates" have the wrong information....until we are proved right. JWs fail to realize that we apostates are weeks or months ahead of the rank-and-file when it comes to the latest news or changes in the Org.

Without the religion telling them this is what god wants, how likely is it a parent's natural inclination, when their child does something they don't like, is to stone them to death? No normal, rational parent even thinks that way.
This behavior is precisely what the Koran instructs its adherents to do. They act the way they do because of their religion; and, theit conscience is not a factor...it never is in matters of "faith".

The best method to expose the Bible's absurdity is to actually read it. What you fail to understand is that many here have come to certain conclusions because they've studied the Bible extensively, not inspite of it.
And, it's statements like this one that prove the idiocy of the religious mindset when they argue for the Bible, god and Jesus:
"None of that should change your view of Jehovah and Jesus and the bible!!! If anything it should strengthen your faith!!! WHY??? The scriptures state that those lies and errors (In fact a very BIG error) are part of Jehovah’s people."
In other words, a person should just expect that god allows massive lies within his group and these should be accepted as a matter of fact??
