Donation of blood fractions
by why144000 inthis may be the wrong area for this but here goes.. if you went to a bank and told them " i don't have an account with you, i never will have an account with you and i will tell people you are a terrible bank" then ask not for a loan from them, but a gift of a lot of money, how do you think they would respond?.
yet, witnesses now have the the ability to take blood fractions from the blood bank without ever contributing to the blood bank.
there is a process that the blood bank takes just the plasma from a donor to be used for fractions only.

It's the traditional WT/JW mindset: condemn the entire world as "Satan's system of things", call it evil, unjust and bent on wiping out JWs, yet beat a path to the door to be the first in line if the WT/JW can benefit from that very system (sepecially if it's a freebie).

Expect more Crazy as JW.ORG trims the fat and fills the coffers.
by donuthole inwhen rutherford assumed the presidency of the watchtower society he instituted series of sweeping changes to the teachings and practices of the bible students.
some of these changes were at complete odds with what had been taught previously.
a key example was the elevation of the watchtower society as "god's visible organization on earth".

the branch feels there is a net decrease of 5% in the last five years
.
Let's not forget, as Ray Franz documented in CoC, that falling numbers in the 1960's were the entire foundation for formulating the 1975/Armageddon nonsense. The WT needed to do something to bring people back and get the numbers up- what better way to do that than to declare the End was near and only WT had salvation.
Desperate thinking leads to desperate actions. There's no predicting what WT will do in the future, except that the absurdity will reach epic levels.

They will never dump Jehovah's Witnesses as their name
.
I'm sure the IBSA said the very same thing...right up to the point they were re-branded as "Jehovah's Witnesses".
Once "New Light"™ shows up, all bets are off. Anything is possible.

@ Outlaw: The WBT$ could care less if they lost 75% of the JW`s..
.
Well, the Org. lost 75% of it's followers when Rutherfraud hijacked control of the WT...it lost (overall)* 10% after 1975...and I have no doubt it is likely to happen again.
* some European countries saw a 75%+ decline.

yadda yadda 2: Rebrand to call themselves JW.org? lol, can't see that. I think some are getting a bit carried away at the new internet focus.
.
If a person is even marginally observant, you'll notice that "JW.Org" has been promoted and repeated ad nauseum. Look at the August tract for the campaign- JW.Org is all over it. Look at the booths and storefronts WT is utilizing. They don't have banners on them that say "Watchtower" or "Jehovah's Witnesses". No, on every one of them it says in big bold letters "JW.Org".
Do you not notice any of this?

Sadly, it's the predictable and inevitable result of people willing to shelve all common sense to follow the advice of fools:
.
"If you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things. Why not? Because all the evidence in fulfillment of Bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years. Of the generation that observed the beginning of the "last days" in 1914, Jesus foretold: "This generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur."-Matt. 24:34. Therefore, as a young person, you will never fulfill any career that this system offers. If you are in highschool and thinking about a college education, it means at least four, perhaps even six or eight more years to graduate into a specialized career. But where will this system of things be by that time? It will be well on the way toward its finish, if not actually gone!" Awake!1969 May 22 p.15
"Today there is a great crowd of people who are confident that a destruction of even greater magnitude is now imminent. The evidence is that Jesus' prophecy will shortly have a major fulfilment, upon this entire system of things. This has been a major factor in influencing many couples to decide not to have children at this time." Awake! 1974 Nov 8 p.11
"Yes, since the summer of 1973 there have been new peaks in pioneers every month. Now there are 20,394 regular and special pioneers in the United States, an all-time peak. That is 5,190 more than there were in February 1973! A 34-percent increase! Does that not warm our hearts? Reports are heard of brothers selling their homes and property and planning to finish out the rest of their days in this old system in the pioneer service. Certainly this is a fine way to spend the short time remaining before the wicked world's end." Kingdom Ministry May 1974 p.3 How Are You Using Your Life?
