The guidance that we receive from him is so clear that it is as if ‘our own ears hear a word behind us saying: "This is the way. Walk in it."’ (Isa. 30:21) In effect, Jesus also conveys Jehovah’s voice to us as he directs the congregation through "the faithful and discreet slave."
Ironically, the guidance from holy spirit that is allegedly "so clear" didn't let the WT know until just last year what the true identity of the faithful slave actually is (exclusively the governing body, not all anointed ones). 133 years of bad information taught as truth, but actually grade A B.S.
When did Jesus appoint his faithful and discreet slave?. According to the recent new light, it was in 1919:
Since, according to "new light" (2013 vintage), the governing body is the faithful slave, and there was no governing body in 1919, then Jesus had no one to appoint over anything. Oops. WT didn't think that one through.

Silly indeed, in fact, absurdly silly. Yet, JWs will gladly kick a family member to the curb and shun them for life based on nothing more than the dictates of 7 men (The governing body), men they've never met, never will meet, and know nothing about.
In JW Land there are no blood ties or friends, just blind devotion to a superficial religion.

It reminds me of JWs during WWII who were imprisoned in Nazi conentration camps. They risked their lives as free people, and again as prisoners, to smuggle-not Bibles- but the Watchtower magazine. Their allegiance was to WT and its theology because it was "god's organization".
And look at what they risked freedom and life for: doctrines that were taught then as "absolute truth", so important to a JW they'd risk all for it, have largely been discarded as nonsense (old light) and are no longer relevant to JWs today, barely a blip in WT history. JWs paying with their lives for beliefs that weren't worth the paper they were written on.
Today: WT is still telling JWs to risk their lives to spread a message that no doubt will be trashed/modified/minimized as time goes by, and the message/doctrines JWs now feel is worth their lives to preach will be snickered at by future JWs as merely the silliness of WT's past as it "progressed".

Dis-Member: Singing a song makes does not make them any different from what they really are
Let's remember that all of this entertainment is for the International Conventions, a very special event in JW Land that comes around only once every few years. When the conventions are completed it'll be business as usual for JWs, i.e. back to the grind of the boring-as-hell routine that is WT-dom.
Do not look for this summer's 'partay' to become a regular feature in WT activities.
See what happens if a congregation in Atlanta, Detroit, Indianapolis or Texas attempts to have a concert/dance/choir in the Kingdom Hall that is not sanctioned by the GB after the conventions are over !

Just think...all that time they spent practicing for this event could have been spent in the ministry, spreading WT's life-saving message about the imminence of Armageddon.
