Vidiot: Wow. They've moved from spin to full-on bullshit
In WT parlance bullshit is called "progress" and "keeping up with Jehovah's celestial chariot".
"Spin" is old light and an outdated term.

oh, and the never-fails-to-get-mentioned alleged 'persecution'/resistance from some unnamed authority who tried to get in watchtower's way and hamper the effort...but jws prevailed anyway (as always):.

atheists believe that god should stop the large-scale injustice on earth; if he does'nt, then he does not exist.
jws believe that god will intervene sometime in the last days!.
interestingly, both throw themselves on their own expectation of soemthing god should or will do, yet in fact something god does not have to do.
For me evilness is more classified with intentional acts to harm deliberately out of vengence, anger, malice and even pleasure. To me that is what evil stands for. Indifference is something comepletly different in my view.
If a lifeguard, or worse, a parent, stood by and 'indifferently' watched a child drown just a few feet away, when both the lifeguard or parent could easily save their life, that wouldn't be considered evil because they were not "deliberately" pushing the child down into the water?
hi i have to go to one of these soon.
i find it difficult enough to sit through a meeting knowing what i now know.
how to survive a whole three days???!!!
how to survive a three day assembly?
Option A: don't go,
Option B: fake your own death (Option A plus the advantage of not having to explain),
Option C: 1.75 liters of Bourbon (per day), earplugs and dark glasses. Claim to have a disability which allows you to bring a lounge chair.

You are correct. I forgot about CurrentWTslave's irrefutable logic on that point.

"How come Jehovah blessed your convention and Tucson, AZ was a nightmare with parking, does that mean he wasn't blessing theirs?"
Jehovah doesn't go to Tucson in the summer...it's too hot. J-Dubs in Az. have to park their cars without the aid of Holy Spirit™.

god doesn't like amputees...that's why he has never, ever helped one of them.

I pray to a jug of milk, and have the same results as when I used to pray to god:

Pity Jehovah and his holy spirit can't coordinate a campaign to end global hunger and war. But parking? Like a boss.
In the words of Dirty Harry: "A man's god's got to know his limitations."
Jehovah™ knows his limitations so handles the hard stuff- waving an orange baton to direct the Prius precisely between the two white lines.
It makes one wonder how a JW ever parks their own car when they aren't at a convention?

Subject: International Convention in Landover, Maryland To:
Brothers, Some interesting facts and photos from the International Convention in Landover, Maryland. Truly it was directed by Holy Spirit. On Friday morning it seemed that the parking of all those in attendance would be chaotic at best all weekend. The authorities were poised to take control from the volunteers. But with cooperation and Jehovah's Holy Spirit, adjustments were made in the initial direction. From that point on there were minor issues that were quickly resolved by our brothers in administration and parking. On Sunday Jehovah's people parked an estimated 22,000 cars and 182 chartered buses - the most at any event in FedEx history. We also set another record. The fast ingress and egress of cars and buses in FedEx history. Truly a testimony to Jehovah's name and the direction of His spirit. The cooperation of departments, volunteers and our brothers and sisters coupled with Jehovah's spirit and direction has made an impression on all involved. This is not confidential information. Please share with the brothers and sisters.

The claims are easily debunked. .
>The parking lot at FedEx Stadium only has 22,000 parking spaces. Of course they were all filled.
.
> The stadium has a seating capacity of 91,000; there were aprox. 50,000 JWs in attendance. How can this possibly constitute "the most at any event in FedEx history" when the stadium was only at a little more than 50% capacity?
.
> Regarding parking: "The authorities were poised to take control from the volunteers". Patently false. A quick call to the stadium management revealed they had nothing to do with the parking arrangement and had no interest in 'taking control' from the JWs.
.
> "We also set another record. The fast ingress and egress of cars and buses in FedEx history." Compared to what? Notice that no evidence is offered, just a claim based on heresay. Fast compared to when a crowd of 91,000 people are using the stadium? Maybe. But since the parking lot only holds 22,000 cars regardless of the number of people attending events, no doubt filling the parking lot takes about the same time no matter who's doing the parking.
.
> If filling the parking lot to capacity and having a stadium filled to 50% capacity is evidence of direction by "holy spirit", does this mean organizers of the Super Bowl, Nascar races and soccer games with 200,000+ in attendance also have Jehovah's™ backing? Maybe even more than WT does? "Evidently".
wow, it's true - they don't call to 'promote god's kingdom' anymore but just their website!.
we just had an old lady call and tell us that was exactly what they were doing and it has "lots of good things on their for children".
yeah, right ... sparlock?.
