  Is There Other Sites Many Members Are Bailing To? M.I.A JWN People, where did they go?

  since i joined the forum i noticed more than a few people have not been posting, what is going on?

  i received a couple of emails from other groups asking me to join their new forms with a promised technology, i wondered how they got my email address and thought it be strange.. .

  people during the first year of a great change might post daily to any support chat or message board they feel is going to aid them.

  Problems with the "Bogus AWAA Fan Page"..

  good afternoon jwn... .

  i`ve spent the morning and part of my afternoon... getting to the bottom of... why names were added to the awaa fan page... it`s a dangerous thing to happen in our world... faders can be outed,we can lose,family,friends... the results can be an absolute disaster... .

  aawa "did not" create the facebook awaa fan page.

  Do any of you remember a thread/post about 20 days ago .... something along the lines of .... if you were satring a new group to go against WT what would you call it and how would you do it ?

  Been picking at my brain all day and I can't find it anywhere, I went back through every page to 18 days ago.

  Could it of been removed/deleted ????

  it's really bugging me now cos I can't find it, and don't know what it was actuallly called to put it in search (tried.. no luck)

  i would urge as many as possible to take part in our new survey, which has been enhanced to implement some of the suggestions we received from those taking part in last year's poll.. anyway, i hope you find the 2012 results helpful and enjoy taking part in our new survey.. by all means share your thoughts on the results on this thread, not to mention any suggestions that will help make the 2014 survey better still!

  i wonder about the wts's strict view of all worldly governments as ultimately under satan's rulership.

  in practice jws are led to take on an uncomprimising attitude of resentment and hostility toward "satanic" world governments, not mere neutrality, as they claim.

  i wonder about this in light of romans 13, where world governments are said to be appointed by god, a "minister of god to you for good.

  The Watchtower and the Masons

  the latest edition of the free in christ ministries journal contains a very interesting article entitled the watchtower and masons.. drawing upon material from the book the watchtower & the masons by fritz springmeier, it gives the following parallels between the things that c t russell believed and those taught by the masons:.

  * both believe jehovah is the most important word being the basis of their dogma, and the name of their god.

  * both believe god yielded power to a lesser god.

  Whether or not the page was a group page or a fan page, or anyother page is irrelevent in my opinion.

  The whole debacle about the page/group farce is to me a joke, or a smokescreen, a diversionary tactic.

  I'm sorry, I'm not wanting to pile on anyway and give them a hard time, BUT, we are talking about PEOPLE'S LIVES here. AND we are talking about a business. THE TWO SELDOM MELD TOGETHER, for obvious reasons.

  You ever heard the saying 'IT'S NOT PERSONAL - IT'S JUST BUSINESS. - yeah, it's a saying that stinks, I have never liked it. Like it gives peeps free rain to trample over others. We see enough of that in the world.

  The mistake /mess/ REASON is NOT THE MAIN FOCUS HERE.

  It is how the matter has been handled - VERY POORLY I feel. In the real world THE BOSS IS RESPONSIBLE for his staff. Don't matter if they are volunteers or members.

  INTEGRITY, JUSTICE, TRUTH, HONESTY - if you have none of these when dealing with people you are FKD BEFORE YOU START.

  And your expecting people to put their lives in your hands !!! ARE YOU MAD. If you don't trust someone enough to look after your dog, your certainly not gonna ask them to look after your kids.

  I see all the scandals that are coming out in UK, and around the world. Cover ups, secrets, lies, manipulation, scheming. It's sickening. Then we see the boys at the top trying to wriggle out of responsibility, blame others. NO MORAL COMPASS.

  Just look at the Jimmy Saville debacle. And all of the child abuse cases etc with WT org.

  It looks like the damage has been done here, I can't see how it can recover. It crashed and burned before it even took of.

  EXPERTS !!! There are a lot of blanks that need filling in. And there needs to be JUSTICE for those that were wronged, not protection for the wrong-doer.

  What do you believe about the bible?

  i'm interested in how we all view the bible?.

  let me start by offering three different options:.

  a.. a book that at best may have cultural or historical interest but that is it.. b.. a divinely inspired guide that i consult to make important life choices.

  I treat it like a good book. i read it like a good book. I'm not reading it much these days, I have things I need to sort out and put in order first. For now I choose to believe it, I choose to enjoy it. I choose to do the research because I am fascinated with all things old, esp The bible. The story / book is so old and runs over so many years. it's an amazing book.

  i'm just sorry I don't have anyone in the real 'flesh' to talk to and debate about these things with. I love a good debate. Stephen Fry did a great one with the church. Brill.

  you don't have to believe anything you don't want to, because you can choose to NOT believe. You are empowered to say no/refuse/take a different path/follow interests/hobbies.

  You don't have to be religious. you have freedom and choice.

  When you take away a persons freedom, liberty, choices and power and render them powerless and living in a continuos cirlce of fear and guilt because they have been manipulated my master's of psychology and control, well then we have a problem. and how to resolve that problem ?

  it may have nothing to do with God the Bible, Jesus, Religion for you - you have that choice.

  But for the others - are still in there, and ones who do still believe - IT IS EVERYTHING about God, Jesus, Religion, the Bible. they are living and breathing it 24/7.

  So if we can provide a place where people feel safe, and not frightened for a change, to feel safe to start asking questions and debating the topics they have issues with. then they get ointed around to other bits of information, and signposts where to go. We may help to free many many more people.

  They are like children and need help, they have to be treated mentally and emotionally like children I think. Your trying to take them away from their mother.... they would rather die than leave mother, now matter how bad she treats them, they believe she loves them, after all she must, she is their mother.

  So for now I'm just happy plodding along. Hoping in some small way that acts of kindness displayed by people to jw, could go a long way in helping them to see.

  I too thought it was the safest place in the world. I had no idea what was really going on ... things that happened years and years ago, if only we had this back then hey ? wouldn't our lives be different. It was only a few weeks ago I found out all these things. I by chance followed a trail. Thank God I did.

  To find out it is something so grotesque and twisted when you thought it was the purest, truest, safest thing in the world, is shattering.

  I too hate using and seeing the word 'cult'. i know it is the correct terminology ..... but i think it is just to harsh sounding. It needs to be something, some key word, that is 'GENTLER'

  It's like we are dealing with children.

  Today I did some basic reading on wiki.Followed a simple trail. It went like this.

  That's as far as I have got and I'm going to reasearch every stage of development.

  I have not noticed in this chain, one mention of the masoretic text or masorites, which I am sure wt used (years ago ) in their literature when I first studied, to back up some of the claims they make abotu bible and truth. I have to check on that.

  if anyone can add to it I would be grateful.
