  Do you know where the first person you had sex with, lives now?

  i was actually baptized in my early 20's, so i spent some time as a teen and early twenties doing things that were not witness-like.

  one of those things was sex out of marriage and to be honest, i have no regrets.

  i have wondered though sometimes, where is that person i shared such a landmark moment with in life.

  Is Christmas for Atheists?

  given that so many practises associated with christmas are blatantly christian in origin, is christmas truly for atheists?

  i know that often there are few christian connotations attributed to it nowadays, in such a secularised society, but history is on record in showing that the whole baby jesus thing and angels singing with their "peace and goodwill" stuff is definitely a christian element.

  would any true atheist today want to drink such a mixed cup?

  I'm an Atheist and I am very much into the spirit of Christmas. When I celebrate it god or jesus does not even come into it. I celebrate because as Abaddon says it's fun. Simple as that.

  I would only be inclined to talk to Jehover if I was suffering from delusions and was inclined to talk to thin air.

  Ditto. If I was in that mental state I would probably tell him to kiss my ass.

  I know someone who got busted because his mistress coughed in the background while he was talking to his wife on the phone. He actually had the nerve to blame the mistress for getting caught. He called her a sneaky whore and dumped her. He accused her of coughing on purpose hoping he would get caught. So much for him taking some responsibility. This guy I know reminded me of the guy on the phone. I will send the link to him. It might be his long lost brother.

  - a woman who used a butcher knife to beat a jehovah's witness who knocked on her door on christmas day was sentenced to three months in jail.

  Huge shock!

  i just got a major shock.

  i can't believe the new levels of cruelty possible within families who are jws.. a friend on this board who i've known since i was a baby practically has managed to get me a picture of my little sister who i haven't seen for 8 years - the one who i've mentioned my dad said was working on the bethel quick build team.

  the one who i've described my fears that she and my younger sister are staying single until armageddon.

  I don't know how these dubs live with themselves. I remember when I was in this quandary before (should I respond). It was different circumstances but it was with someone I loved. I wanted to reply so bad, cuss him out what not. Now looking back I am so glad I did not respond. He e-mailed me about a month later like nothing had happened. He wanted to know how I was and what was new in my life. I did not respond to that e-mail either. Silence is the best thing you can do imo. Don't go looking for more pain.
