ok yesterday i was talking to my dad (moe's thread reminded me) he said something about how bad satan was...and said, yeah but "wasn't it eve and adam's fault?

i mean yeah satan laid out the sales pitch but they could have said no.

Great post Rem - falsifiability is totally necessary for a claim even to be considered IMO:

This is a basic example of an "irrefutable hypothesis", which basically means that there is no way to falsify the claim. If the claim cannot be falsified, then it is safe to ignore it. Why waste any time trying to understand an ad-hoc made-up theory that cannot be proven wrong?

Another point for those claiming God's impotence (oops I mean omipotence - sorry Lord): An Omnipotent or omniscient God cannot exercise faith!!!!

If my last remark pissed you off then why not kill your kid so that you will no longer be pissed off with me and I will be redeemed in your eyes?

Sounds ridiculous or stupid or sick? Well ...that's the logic you use for God killing Jesus on our behalf:

He sent His perfect Son to die for sinners and save them from God's wrath

You almost make it seem like God number sent Jesus to die for sinners so that God number 2 would not kill the sinners.

Spout away dear Christian....

Ouija Boards

well, i was talking on the phone to my best friend and we started talking about aliens, spirits, etc.

and eventually we got around to discussing the ouija board.

since i was raised a jw and have only been out a year, the ouija board was of course forbidden and even a little scary.
