  the scriptures are some of the oldest books in the world known to man with dates included now how do you suppose that can be, that these books have survived this long, many thousands of years ?

  hmmmmmm i don't see any other book on the shelf as long as this book not even any other history book as far as that goes, now i wonder why a book that supposedly is nothing more than a lie or uninspired as some of you put it would survive that long.

  i wonder how christianity has lasted as long as it has if it is all just a lie.

  christianity, in it's truest, fundamentalist form, promotes an unhealthy and non-productive victim mentality.

  the christian feels helpless on his own -- condemned by sin and absolutely unworthy.

  My beliefs come from a love, a pure love from deep in the heart for someone naming Christ who died in order that I might live forever.

  Just look at what you wrote...

  Now ask: Is Christ God? If so why did he have to kill himself for you? If a regular human made up some game where he had to kill himself for you based on his own rules - would you think that person was smart?

  If Christ is the one granting you the opportunity - then why can't he just grant it? Why expect me to be grateful when he was stupid enough to make up such a stupid system of justice in the first place?

  It's like me saying to you: You can have $1 million. Now you go ahead and spit on me. So now I say: Well in order to give you the million bucks I will have to kill myself first. Does this sound sane?

  People below the poverty line pay sales tax only and some state taxes sometimes.

  They pay NO federal tax - so George Bush has nothing to do with that. Although taxes are withheld from wages after deducting withholding allowances - the key is that if you know you will pay no taxes to bump up your withholding allowances (each withholding allowance on a bi-weekly payroll is $119) and thus you would not have any taxes withheld either.

  BTW....if you hate republicans then you are a bigot!!! Go to the library and look up the defintion of the word.

  I am not a republican or a democrat...but if I had to choose one over the other I would choose republicans. I can find no party who represents my views - the Liberatarians come close until they put up a candidate - they do Ayn Rand's work a huge disservice.

  I truly don't care if you are disappointed in me. Please don't let any facts get in the way of your beliefs.

  I am aware of the Einstein Astrology Hoax - why? Because I READ (exactly what you are encouraging us to do). Now I asked you for the page number of the book you quoted and you cannot give it to me? If the book says what YOU say I will affirm it and post the affirmation. I will however, check the source in the bibliography and check the original writings of Einstein too - why? Because I read.

  If I told you Einstein said Smurfs were demonized and you then called me on that....is that bad of you? Well we have called you for evidence of your claims. Should you go out and read all of Einstein's works looking for the Smurf quote? Or if I am the claimant should I provide it for you? You don't have to provide any evidence...you are under no obligation, Cat. However, I cannot see how you can make silly claims and expect everyone to jus believe them.
