Both activities in those days are horrible. I prefer to be at home with my family and enjoy good moments.

Which is worse: Going in Service or Having a Meeting on a Holiday?
by Room 215 in.
i used to dread the prospect of having an evening meeting to to go hanging over my head all day long on a major holiday, almost as much as being compelled to ``go out in service.".
how about you?

Has anyone been barred from K.H. or convention?
by lilacs4everr inhave you ever heard of an abuse victim being disfellowshipped, then barred from coming to the kingdom hall or to a convention?
this threat has been made to a good friend of mine here in the u.s. can they (the elders) really call the police to have someone removed who is just sitting there quietly?

Here in Chile isn't possible to stop anyone from coming to the meetings, all the KH are public places, but of course if someone is trying to disturb the meeting, the police can take him away.

What can I say. I loved to be a part of the christian congregation. I always been a good JW (18 years) and Im still one. But, Internet has given me too much information on WTBTS, and now I can see it is a fraud. This doesnt mean I dont love Jehovah or Jesus, I love my brothers and sisters too, but, I cant say the same for the organization. When I talk to my friends, or some brother or sister I try to explain with soft words some of the things Ive learned. Imagine, I try to be the same as before acting like an actor, always smiling, saying yes to all (all this is to keep my family peace) but inside of myself I feel alone, angry, etc.
One thing is true, Jehovah hasnt changed, He is the same always, the Bible is his word so I believe in it. I love the people in the congregation not the organization. I like to hear what you say here, and I supposed to be here a long time. ChileanRick

Mulan: Yes, I know who is Beverly Williams. She is a very nice woman. I meet her in 1984, when she was as missionary in Concepcin (a city at the south of Chile). We went to preach to rural places with other missionaries. It was delightful. After that I came back to Santiago and I didn't see her for a lot of years. At once time, I don't remember when, all the missionaries were transferred to Santiago. I know she remembers me.
The other people mentioned by you, I don't know them.
I understand now, how little is this world.

In Chile, is the same. If someone says "don't come back here again".... we have to take note and "mark" the house in the territory paper, and then way until a year to come back. (Sorry if my english isn't well, I speak spanish)

Jehovah's Witnesses Get Some of their Own Medicine
January 18, 2002 8:00 CDTA British mum finally decided she'd turned the other cheek the suggested "70 times 7" and that it was time for some Christian action. After dealing with missionaries from the Jehovah's Witness Church every month for 12 years and telling them each time she just wasn't interested, it was either take some action or get some medication for that nervous twitch that struck every time she heard the doorbell. She chose the former.
Jane White gathered up her courage, a considerable amount of religious literature and other magazines, and set off for the local Kingdom Hall to give them back some of their own medicine. She timed her visit carefully to arrive in the middle of their services, banged loudly on the door until someone answered it and then proceeded to offer her literature to the congregation and talk to them about her religion. She was forced to "move along" after about 30 minutes of proselyting.
Ms. White insists that it's not the religion they practice that she objects to, but rather the intrusive way in which they insist on trying to share their 'good news' that she can't stomach anymore. A spokesman for Jehovah's Witnesses in Britain stated that their policy is that if someone states that they do not want their representatives to call that a note is made and further contact is not made.

New opinion on Memorials
by ChileanRick inhere in chile, when the times of memorial its near, you can see a lot of brothers and sister buying new clothes for that ocassion.
so, when you are attending the memorial meeting, you can feel nobody is listening really.
everybody is looking how are the others clothed, who is a visitor, and when the meeting gets and end, nobody is really interested in other ones, but only in its friends.

What do you fear the most about the WT cult?
by Claudia Kittel inwhen i was a jw, i think what i was most afraid of was being hurt.
i did everything to keep myself from getting hurt.
i banged on doors with the best of the pioneers.

The only thing makes me feel afraid is to lose may family in the death. I cant imagine living alone without my son (2 years old) and my wife. I love Jehovah God and his Son, Jesus. All of us receive everyday something as gifts: life, delicious food, love from others. But the WT doesnt give me anything good. They only want to receive our money, they want to have us under its feet and that we died for it. So Im not afraid of the WT.

It made me laugh to see that chart, but one thing is true, JW are not the most important group when we talk of numbers.
