Where the problem exists and local circumstances allow, it might be possible for the body of elders to arrange for those who are sensitive to fragrances to sit in a somewhat isolated area in the Kingdom Hall.
I quit going. Problem solved.
do they have to tell the r&f every little detail???.
from the new wt:.
what can be done to assist brothers and sisters who suffer from adverse reactions to fragrances?any who are sensitive to fragrances face a difficult challenge.

does a female kingdom publisher need to wear a head covering if she conducts a bible study in the presence of a male publisher?.
in a questions from readers item published in the watchtower of july 15, 2002, it was stated that a sister should cover her head if she conducts a bible study in the presence of a male publisher, whether he is baptized or not.
further consideration of the matter suggests that a modification to this direction is appropriate.. if the male publisher who accompanies the sister while she conducts an established bible study is baptized, the sister would certainly want to wear a head covering.
Further consideration of the matter suggests that a modification to this direction is appropriate. She only need to wear a head covering if her Spanx are visible and/or the brother is wearing tight pants and colored socks.
For the sake of the "Kingdom Good News," the expression "colored socks" means any color other than black or white, although white socks are generally inadvisable for a brother even though white shirts are evidently preferred.
what do you say, bible gurus???
a relative asked me what i thought of the zone visit.
i am in the process of gathering my thoughts.
Vidquin: If you want to reason with a Witness without using Scripture, you will be wasting your time.
In my experience, trying to "reason" with a JW, with or without scriptures, is a waste of time.
The vast majority live by this mantra: Listen, Obey and Be Blessed!
this is my own experience so i'll share it in that it might help others.
this may not work for others but it seems to be working for me.. .
a little background...i'm happily married and 3 years ago i was an elder and my wife was a pioneer, we have 3 kids.
NSWTG, thanks for your thoughtful response.
I do understand the progressive nature of trying to wake up someone to TTATT.
That being said, please reconsider my statement: "Men teach wrong things and Jehovah (God) has nothing to do with any of it."
There is nothing about this that implies that there is no God, (although this is what I believe), only that God has nothing to do with the WTBTS, its hopelessly misguided and quite probably fraudulent leaders, and the R&F followers who have been scammed.
Best wishes on reaching your wife,
Oubliette

Vidquin: for he that is not against us is for us.
Exactly!
Except Jesus contradicted himself and also said, " Whoever is not on my side is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. " - Matthew 12:30. Expect that as a response.
This is why I maintain: Don't try to use scriptures. The WTBTS has twisted so many of them that no JW can understand what any of them say, they only know what they've be told they "mean."
The burden of proof is always on the individual making an assertion. ToMo promised to use scriptures and publications to back up his statements. He did neither. Why didn't he?
Ask the question, shut up and let the silence have it's affect.
Of course, people that are under the notion that the Bible is "the infallible Word of God" go through excruciating mental gymanistics to "harmonize" these kinds of blatant contradictions, but once a person has disabused themselves of this false notion, it becomes easy to see the Bible for what it really is.
It is a book full of contradictions (among other things).

Why use scriptures? ToMo didn't use any!
Try logic instead: “Whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants.” ― Bertrand Russell
that's the word according to my mil.
mrs hoser is starting a new career and the college and work training will take her four years to complete.
her mom is giving her a hard time telling her that the system will be over before she graduates.
It's 1969 all over again:
"If you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things. Why not? Because all the evidence in fulfillment of Bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years. Of the generation that observed the beginning of the "last days" in 1914, Jesus foretold: "This generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur."-Matt. 24:34. Therefore, as a young person, you will never fulfill any career that this system offers. If you are in highschool and thinking about a college education, it means at least four, perhaps even six or eight more years to graduate into a specialized career. But where will this system of things be by that time? It will be well on the way toward its finish, if not actually gone!" - Awake! 1969, May 22 p. 15

Cool, I'll check it out!
I don't really see the point of talking about JWs though. Bill Nye is all about science. I have never heard him have an axe to grind with any particular religion, as much as I'd like to see him tear apart some arrogant JW that thinks he could debate with him.
