we've just started watching this swedish parallel-present series about human-like robots (hubots) seeking independence.. its really well done but subtitled (if you didn't mind the original "girl with the dragon tattoo") and the best description of it i was saw the stepford wives meets blade runner.

kind of creepy and unsettling and touches on some adult themed topics (robots for sex).. anyone else seen it?

i only started watching because i was too lazy to get up and get the remote one night but it was pretty gripping.. .

I have a few questions.

Why on Earth did you ever agree to give a talk without getting a copy of the outline at the time you accepted the assignment?
Why have you waited until less than a week before that talk to start preparing it?
Why are you on an "apostate" website seeking help instead of begging the elders for help and mercy?

This is just messed up.

I actually have a copy of that outline. But I gotta' tell you: your lack of planning does not constitute a crisis on my part.

Hoser: am surprised that they never changed the wording for the new new world translation to "do not miss the meetings".

But they did!

Here's what the rNWT says:

And let us consider one another so as to incite to love and fine works, not forsaking our meeting together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you see the day drawing near.

The previous NWT did not say "meeting together," but said "gathering ourselves together."

When you consider what they were able to convince us the old wording meant, you can see how important the not-too-subtle rewording is to shoring up this non-biblical interpretation.

Godsendconspirator, actually this is a great strategy for faders. Whenever anyone tries to pressure you to return to the meetings, simply invite them out socially for a cup of coffee or lunch or whatever.

Very, very few will take you up on the offer if you're not regularly attending meetings. It will make your fade go much more smoothly and more quickly.
