CO Visit this week

so this week is our co visit, the first with the new arrangement where the second mid-week meeting has been deleted.

so only 1 "service talk" by the co.. this time, i decided to listen with a different focus.

listen like it was a sales meeting (i have been to many, and hated them all).. ok, so we go thru the obligatory theocratic ministry school, blah blah blah, so wonderful.

The WTBTS and Elders have too many stupid rules!

i hated ministry book bags.i hated coming out of my home with the book bags looking like i was going to a seminar.so,i starting going to the ministry school and sunday bible meetings holding only the required books for that day in my hand.. for the sunday meetings,i would just carry the song book,bible and watchtower magazine in my hand.

no book bag!

for the ministry school,i would just carry just what necessary for the evening.

it took a few years but i finally decided to join yesterday.

my background, born-in, still go to meetings for family reasons, i am inactive however.

if you were to ask when i first woke up i would say 2010 with the overlapping generation garbage.

User100 and Marvin, I had a very similar experience. The elder I floated this idea by accused me of having "apostate thinking," whatever that is.

Funny thing, if he was right, then the current GBs are all a bunch of apostates!

I'm thinking he might've been right!

i thought it would be important to clearly point in the recent talk by governing body member stephan lett, that he did in fact deliberately lie concerning what he described as lies and false information by apostates, concerning the organization being permissive toward people in the organization who had been involved in pedophilia.

the truth of the matter is thats exactly what the organization has been doing and perhaps for a long time.

the recent candace conti law suit where she was awarded 28 million dollars was levied against the wts for its irresponsible behavior by the elders who gave no notification of the accused jonathan kendrick that he had been charged with pedophilia and spent months in jail for his actions .

i just read about this on the ex-jw subreddit.

link to the video (10m06s).. skip to 7:35 where he says: "another way we can contribute to the oneness - rejecting false stories that are designed to separate us from jehovah's organization.

as an example, think about the apostate-driven lies and 'dishonesties' that jehovah's organization is permissive toward pedophiles.

I don't think that was a slip, I believe it was intentional. Are you familiar with Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)?

While the general scientific opinion is that NLP is pseudoscience, I have repeatedly noticed the use of NLP techniques in WT literature, way too much to be coincidental or unintentional.
