Hi BD!
BD: She says I'm being picky
Isn't that how "true Christians" are supposed to be?
BD: she said she doesn't know me anymore.
Tell her, "I don't know this religion anymore!"
i'm new to this forum.. i was raised in " the truth" from age six and now i am in my mid 60's.
my wife was born in " the truth" and is very strong in the religion.
i have had many experiences during my lifetime with the other members of several congregations.
does anyone remember those 2 songs and that movie specifically being mentioned in the watchtower?
they were"bad" and should be avoided.
it had to be in the late 70's or early80's.
my wife and sons don't know how far i have gone in withdrawing from the organization in my heart.
i've been faking family worship.
i got angry and almost showed it while watching the march tv.org.

as someone brought up as a jw and been an elder and been disfellowshipped (twice!!!
) i find it difficult to understand why ex jws have to attack the religion, yes religion, not cult or sect.
i am no longer disfellowshipped just do not want to practice anymore.
i am most curious.
it appears that a new 16-page brochure, with the title "return to jehovah" is to be released at the regional convention (dc) this year.
it would be written specifically for those faded or da/df.chapters are:a letter from the governing body1.
the lost one i will search for2.
Morpheus: Of course that brochure isnt really written for the inactive. Its written, like all things, for the sole consumption of the faithful.
I totally agree. This is damage control meant to reinforce the loyalty of those that remain. Keep telling them that people only leave for illegitimate reasons: sin, weakness, corruption, immorality, demon-possession.
Keep up the illusion that the GB members really care about those that left. Maintain the facade that elders are actively trying to "save lost sheep."
It's all bullshit for in-house consumption.
Once I was DF'd for 4 years and only once did an elder make any attempt to reach out to me. This was at a time I lived within walking distance (and I mean 1 city block) of the COBE of the congregation where I was DF'd.
It's just more propaganda from the WTBTS.
Let's review: It's a cult!
even as an atheist i consider myself spiritual, always have, metaphysics and spiritual discussions about enlightenment and so on i find interesting, even if belief in a yhwh is not in me.
i want to propose this simple definition of the word "spiritual" among jehovah's witnesses.. spiritual = indoctrination or indoctrinated.
i have been told how i'm "just not a spiritual man".
today was the first time i've seen a bro wearing a jw.
org lapel pin, actually much, much larger than an actual lapel pin.
square shaped, the background was olive green but the letters were white in bold letters.
