This particular question and its corresponding answer were not worded as clearly as they could have been.

The fact is that creativity and skepticism are separate, unrelated traits. One can have one without the other.

Being skeptical can help one resist being manipulated, whereas having a creative mind can actually make a person easier to manipulate if they are not aware of the techniques of manipulation or do not possess the other traits which can protect an individual from being brainwashed.

Why did the org "forgive" KH mortgages?

i know this has been discussed, but i think it's good that topics like this get brought back up from time to time for the sake of newbies and lurkers, plus, i have a question (related at end of post).. the org brags about "forgiving" kh mortgages as if it's so loving and giving.

i put the word in quotation marks because most of us realize it wasn't forgiving anything.

the new arrangement should actually bring it far more money.. for example, suppose there are twenty congregations total.

No. Only the interest earned on the loaned money is income.

I don't believe the WTBTS was charging interest. Was it?

If so, can someone document that?

If not, there there is another motive.

FT: What good has being "an apostate" (in the sense of rabidly opposing and hating the Governing Body) done in the past 60 years to bring about any changes or downfall of the Society?

There are several problems with this question.

First, most "apostates" are only thus because the WT/JW policies brand them as such.
Secondly, what makes you think we "apostates" want to change/reform/destroy the WT?

So FT, you agree with 5 relatively pedestrian "teachings" of the GB (all of which, by the way, are not the sole, exclusive property of those august gents).

BUT YOU DISAGREE WITH 9 VERY SIGNIFICANT "TEACHINGS" OF THE GB, MORE THAN HALF OF WHICH ARE ARGUABLY ONLY TAUGHT BY JWS!
