  What is their connection to the WTBTS?

  The society has stated that the R&F should not start "JW Schools" but I've never heard them make a statement about these Senior Living Homes.

  I remember reading about one in the US that supposedly was a subsidiary of the WTBTS, but the connection was not well established.

  It would be educational to ring the London Branch and ask them if this is for real or not.

  One could say, "I just got this brochure on Charitable giving, but one of the elders told me it's a hoax. Can you confirm if this is real or not?"

  It's very telling when you can't tell the real thing from parody, or parody from the real thing!

  Poe's law is an Internet adage which states that, without a clear indicator of the author's intent, parodies of extreme views will be mistaken by some readers for sincere expressions of the parodied views.

  That being said, I believe this to be a case of the opposite, when the real thing is indistinguishable from a parody of it.

  I miss my family so much. I thought I was over it but I have breakdowns every few months thinking about my family

  as most of you know i have been shunned by my family for 2 years because of a photo posted on facebook of me kissing another girl at a party.

  the matter was not dealt with fairly but it is over now and i am 100% certain that jdub org is a cult.

  but i miss my family so much.

  Cappytan: do you think your family will shun you again if you fade after reinstatement?

  If they are shunning you now, they will almost certainly shun you then.

  It's a big decision to make and no one should judge you either way. But if you do try and get reinstated, you will have to endure many months, maybe a year or more, of humiliation and it may not change a thing.

  I did it and it was unsuccessful. I was reinstated 2 1/2 years ago and the family I wanted back still shun me. The only thing I took away was their lame excuse.
