I joined six years ago, so I guess from your perspective I'm a "newbie."
Welcome back.
Any change with your daughters?

I hate this fucking religion!

looking back we had been fading without even realizing it.
life happened...and we weren't regular.
then we woke up and have actively been fading for 9 months.
Dunedain: WELL, guess what, the "other woman", was the brothers SISTER.
That happened to me once.
People really need to learn to mind their own fucking business.
It was actually pretty funny watching the idiot that was accusing me of impropriety squirm when I turned the tables and pointed out that he was a paranoid, suspicious meddler.
what if no one on the governing body is truly anointed?
what if they just proclaim they are anointed and partake in order to gain authority, but they are not anointed?
what will happen to them when they die?
Whaddya mean, "What if"?
The whole thing is a delusion.
None them are anointed with anything but insanity.
one of the businesses i cover is owned by jws and the father and 2 sons knew me as an active brother until 3 years ago when i told one of them i no longer attend the meeting.
today the father and one of the sons asked me if i was still inactive.
i told them it has been more than 5 years since i last been at a meeting.
Tell him you'll watch the monthly broadcast if he agrees to watch Geoff Jackson's "guest appearance" before the Australian Royal Commission.
Then you can compare notes.

NVR2L8: Because I was on company time and will be returning to conduct business I just couldn't hit them with the real issues that made me leave the cult.
So you won't mix religion and business, but they have no problem doing it.
Glad you took the higher road.

The employment application for the Jah-Jireh home in Pennsylvania specifically asks for a congregation name.
That is clearly discriminatory and therefore in violation of US Federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Laws, in particular Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

Mephis and BOC, thanks for the clarification and additional details.
Simon: how can they allow such blatant religious discrimination in who they employ?
You raise some very good points.
I'm just guessing, but probably no one has challenged them on it.
My grandmother went to live in an Eastern Star home for the last few years of her life. I know for a certainty that not everyone on staff was a Mason or Job's daughter. It's not exactly the same thing, but there is enough similarities to be relevant.
for over a century, delightful, correct words of truth covering every aspect of life have been presented in the watch tower society's publications - wt 1990 december 15 p 26.
It's just a typo. They meant to write:

What is their connection to the WTBTS?
The society has stated that the R&F should not start "JW Schools" but I've never heard them make a statement about these Senior Living Homes.
I remember reading about one in the US that supposedly was a subsidiary of the WTBTS, but the connection was not well established.
Anyone know?
