  did the resurrection start in 1918/1919 or the first century?.

  the wt teaches that the anointed started getting resurrected sometime around 1918/1919.

  before that everyone was asleep in the grave, including all the apostles.

  MITM: Is this the first time the simplified edition has had a completely different article?

  There are a few other differences too, notably a "Life Story" worship article about ToMo3 in the regular edition that is NOT in the simplified edition.

  That's a really good question!

  An even better one is: WHY?

  Why would they put this article in the simplified version and NOT in the regular "Study Edition"?

  I can guess, but that's all it would be, a guess.

  i went to a j.w funeral and saw some people i used to hang out with many years ago and they all seemed to want to tell me if they or any member of their family were elders,m.s's,pioneers ect.. karter..

  july study article confirms what the march study articles implied.

  wt july 15, your deliverance is getting near, para 15. annointed will be raptured before armageddon.

  i thought it was interesting the difference between the simplified version and the study version.

  the rapture as non-jws tell me does not require dying bodily.

  It is these kinds of subtle "hair-splitting" interpretations that cause sects.

  Let's be realistic. The whole idea is a fantasy that is none-too clearly elucidated in the first place.

  For all intents and purposes, what JWs and many other Christian sects believe on this point is essentially the same. Some minor detail about the alleged process is really not important. The fact that the WT admits that they explicitly do not use the term rapture "because of its connection to Christendom's" teachings proves that the WT writers are clear about that and understand that they are that similar.
  

  I'm sure very few JWs could articulate the difference anyway.
