  i am sure that the many recent lawsuits are being noticed by the r&f.. here are some gems from that article, titled the naive person believes every word.

  The reasoning behind this is that the Jews were selected by God and had to remain Jews despite their evil priests and kings. Likewise, the JWs are selected by God and we need to stay in the arc, good or bad.

  I'm calling bullshit on that.

  When Jews lived during the reigns of "bad kings" they were individually morally culpable if they went with the status quo.

  The modern GB of JWs are "bad kings."

  Every single "hero of the Bible" was an individual that took a stand against the hypocrisy and corruption of the religious and political leaders of Israel and Judah.

  Take a stand against the hypocrisy and corruption of the religious and political leaders of the current WTBTS.

  You'll be a hero. You'll probably also get yourself killed (spiritually), but you'll be a hero.

  What are you up to this summer?

  i really enjoy hearing about other people's lives.

  feeling a little lonely this evening so please tell me if you have plans for the summer months.

  Since you asked: I'm currently at a two week conference for science teachers being held at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. It's intense, but really amazing at the same time. We are focusing on helping students construct their own understanding by building progressive models of the fundamental particles of matter .... but I digress.

  At the end of July, my wife and I will be spending a couple of weeks on the east Coast of the US visiting family. I'm really looking forward to that as well!

  during the "imitate jesus" rc there was a strange moment where they played a video of a brother trying to explain the 1914 teaching.

  the brother quickly goes through all the scriptural "proofs" and the householder is dumbfounded.

  a witness friend wanted to meet up recently and talk.

  since this person was a close friend and who i thought had a level head, i'd go ahead and speak with him.

  our conversation actually helped me figure a few things out not only for myself but also about the witnesses.. so we're talking and i'm telling him my experience and the doctrines that i disagreed with as well as the scandals that made me disgusted with the organization.

  So practically EVERYTHING taught in Russell's time has been since discarded except two basic beliefs, one of which he got from another religion and the other conceived of and then twisted and mangled by a bunch of crackpots all vying for one-upsmanship to prove their personal understanding of the incontrovertible Word of God!
