To Blue Dot or Not to Blue Dot. That is the question ....
by Oubliette inso i've been noticing recently that some khs in the area where i live (socal) are putting up the jw.org little blue dot, but others are not.
i would think this would be a mandatory directive from hq.
does anyone here have any intel on the matter?.

Millie, no worries. 00DAD has left the building. I've taken over this important work. -

How to Block an Interrogation by J.W's
by The Searcher in"don't you believe that this is god's spirit-directed organization?".
"do you believe that god is teaching us through the faithful & discreet slave?
"who else has the truth?

coalize: Without consequence? I'm not sure!
What possible consequence could there be for answer "no" to that question?
Only an idiot would say "yes" to it. They've changed their teachings so many times no one can keep track of all of the doctrinal changes, and quite of few have tried.

Searcher, the problem which you miss is that these questions are not equivalent.
- "Don't you believe that this is God's spirit-directed organization?"
- "Do you believe everything which the faithful slave says?"
-
The second is about doctrinal inerrancy and the first is about loyalty.
A JW can answer "no" to the second question without consequence, but not the first. -

Steve2: the organization is obliquely signaling they know ex-Witnesses at times argue among themselves.
This is good. When you're a JW you aren't allowed to argue or disagree about anything important.
One of the best things about leaving this religion is that you can openly disagree with just about anything.

What if JWs Viewed Disfellowshipping and Excommunication as Radical Islamists Do?
by Oubliette ini found this statement from a recent article about isis to be quite interesting in view of the way that any jw can be accused of apostasy with little or no possible repercussions or consequences for the accuser: .
in islam, the practice of takfir, or excommunication, is theologically perilous.
if a man says to his brother, you are an infidel, the prophet said, then one of them is right.

Vidiot, I'm glad you and your dad were able to move beyond the insanity of this cult!
It's really unbelievable what it does to people.

Splash nailed it!
Thanks for sharing the articles showing their 180 on this issue.
If you used their logos before you were an "idolater," now if you don't, you're being disobedient and not keeping up with "new light."
Let's review: It's a cult!

Steve2: Regarding Bergman (aka Havor Montague): There has been periodic questioning of his professional credentials
That's not really relevant to the point of this thread. From the WT point of view, Bergman IS an apostate and yet they quoted him in support of their views.

It's ok for Stephen Lett and Anthony Morris to be judgmental, but it's not ok for you!
