That they made a video that is 1 hour, 11 minutes and 39 seconds in length just to show how such a meeting should be conducted is evidence that they think the average JW is not too bright and can't follow simple directions.

im thinking sometime in the future the society will put a spin on what is happening similar to what has been done in the past.. they will say apostasy once again reared its ugly head in the organization and layoffs was the only way to "cleanse" the organization.. once disgruntled ones begin to use their voice, they will be forced to strike back with some spin to make all those who have the guts to complain look like they were the problem.. good theory huh?.

since the move, it has been so enjoyable to not have jw's breathing down our necks asking why we didn't make the meeting, or having to pretend to be "spiritual" in front of family all the time.. 90% of my week is virtually stress free.

Little children don't throw temper tantrums without an audience. They may sulk in their rooms by themselves, but unless they get what they want they usually come out and decide to join the human race and behave.
Unless your mother has real, serious emotional issues, (which she very well may) she will eventually get the message and change her behavior.

yesterday i was with a group of brothers that wanted my advice on re-roofing a home.
three of them were ministerial servants.
all of them are from the spanish congregation.
Well played.
But when it DOES happen, those brothers will almost certainly say, "This is just more proof of Jehovah's blessing!"
or, "That makes perfect sense!" or some other nonsense.
