what kind of response could you expect if you let everyone in your congregation know that.

None at all.. when I was in I told the elders that I did not like the Kingdom songs one bit.. and also that the Watchtower was written for brain challenged 12 year olds and that I just could not read them any more.

I told them that the older material in the hall library had far more depth and complexity so they left me in there reading all of that. Ironically it was exactly delving into the old publications that woke me up and proved the entire organisation to be one whole crock of horse shit.

i would have to say that ray franz was the biggest influence for me.. when i first got on this board, a poster by the name of james, a former bethelite and organization heavy, helped me understand a lot of the inner workings in the upper echelons of the society.. .

and of course, farkel's common sense approach was (usually) helpful..

Site Update: Jan 15, 2015

now there's no going back !.

i've just finished cleaning up and decommissioning the old server so for better or worse, we're stuck with the new version now - i hope it's at least no worse the the old site and hopefully getting better as i fix issues and make improvements and people get used to the changes.

apart from rss feeds i think all the features that the old site had are now available on the new one plus many extra ones.. the old server had faithfully served us for the last 3+ years and will now drift away, probably to be used by some other site.

Site looks neat on normal browser especially with all the intrusive loud adds stripped away with Add Blocker.

But on an iPad thinks look pretty awful with add taking up a third of the visible space. That's already bad enough but this site is using tracking too as every add I'm seeing on this site is identical to my Amazon and other shopping searches and well as Google searches right down to the very items I looked at a week ago.

This to me is a gross invasion of privacy so will never be visiting this site on my iPad but only on the computer with strong privacy, blocking and script blocking plugins and extensions running to the max.
