  Prince of 'P-I-E-C-E"

  now i have always kept to myself discussing and speculating about this with any witness.

  i am speaking of the very talented musician prince.

  i remember watching the naacp awards one year ages ago and hearing him thank the one true god jehovah and falling off my couch.

  Prince is sometimes a great and proficient musician, but not quite a musical genius. The world is full of people who are prolific multi instrumentalists and what with music itself being a singular subject once you conquer one instrument others surrender far more readily.

  What he does have a knack for is gathering around himself a very large pool of diverse and highly talented individuals and if you can do that then interesting things are always bound to happen.

  I find these definitions appropriate:
  

  Talent is the ability to do easily what others find difficult.
  

  Genius is the ability to do effortlessly what others find impossible.

  Organised Crime

  what is the jehovah's witness view on organised crime?

  Their view on crime is that it's fine as long as it's organised.

  Crime: Definition:

  'An action or an instance of negligence that is deemed injurious to the public welfare or morals'

  By this definition alone they have been perpetrating crimes from their inception and going on 130 years now.

  i went back to smoking and gambling but the good habits out weigh.

  the bad ones, like lying to people.

  is't fraud against the law, the practice.

  15 Years of Jehovahs-Witness.com

  yes, today is the forum's 15th birthday!.

  i never thought for one moment that it would survive this long or have so many people post so many great subjects over the years.. it is still humbling when i get pm's or emails from people expressing how the site has helped them and of course thanks goes to all the posters who have shared their experiences and make helpful and supportive comments to others who are in the sometimes difficult process of learning the real truth about 'the truth'.. the site has gone through several different incarnations over the last 15 years running on different platforms, different databases and different hosts but we've been able to keep all the old topics.

  the current site is still being developed and i'm hoping to push another major upgrade soon.. i also may have some other news to share soon about the future of the site so stay posted.. until then, here's the the next 15 years!

  Congrats to the site and Simon for all his efforts in creating, maintaining, securing, updating and keeping this site running (that's an awful lot of work!!) and congrats to all the vast numbers of great and sometimes fabulous postings that have helped so many including myself. Thank you all!!
  

  I'd love to know what the total member number count has been in the 15 years.. (census allowed..)

  in a recent thread someone mentioned that the wtbts uses mind control techniques.

  do you think this is a conscious ploy?

  if it is it would mean that the leaders of my religion (i am still an active jw) set out consciously to control people.

  I had an prominent elder tell me once that he would never look at the original writings of the Watchtower because reading them would destroy his faith and his relationship with Jehovah. WTF!
