I got it too. There was a poster on here that used to love it when he got those. He kept us all in stitches for weeks with his hilarious replies. Was it Czar of Mischief? No...I think it was Nosferatu. Man that used to crack me up!

Something I Made For My JW Relatives
by ColdRedRain ini will make this short, since you probably won't read anything that's critical of your beliefs longer than 5 minutes.. so here are just the top 10 reasons why i will never attend a kingdom hall nor respect the religion.
10 - witnesses vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, and even deny the blessing of that one god to other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of theirs.. 9: witnesses slight hindu beliefs that deify humans, and greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the holy spirit impregnated mary, who then gave birth to an avatar of god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.. 8: you are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of mankind (thousands of years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by bronze age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that mankind is a few generations old.. .
7: while modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some guy claiming to have gotten a feeling of holy spirit and wrote it down in 2 semi-monthly magazines is enough to prove your religion.

You can add to #9 that certain angels "forsook their proper dwelling place" and came down to get a little human.
And #6 is just too fucking powerful. Amen Bro.

Another LIE Stated in the Watchtower....with proof!
by gumby inthe society has always been cleaver enough with wording to skate around many things.
they use gramatical trickery which makes for many ' written skapegoats' they've used to protect ther validity as jehovahs mouthpiece.. i found a quote by them when researching for something on another thread and thought it was interesting.. below is an article in a 1993 awake!

LOL! Well I always was a Witness and still am...I guess...I'm not DF or DA but I keep a pretty low profile (after being rather high profile hehe). Actually, I got caught up in "clinking frosty mugs" with peeps on other XJW sites which I suspect can't be named here. Having only "x"' amount of time to post on internet boards, I ended up focusing on just that one board but I think that might change now. I've been reading this board all day today and I find that I'm inspired to contribute here again. Furthermore I feel impelled to post more than my previous one-liners and sexual innuendo. Imagine that!

Gumbastard, how the hell have you been? I haven't been around here in some time. I feel like I'm getting reacquainted with everyone!

A rather remarkable quote from the first article posted:
***
g93 3/22 p. 3 Why So Many False Alarms? ***THE story is told of a boy who watched the sheep of the villagers. To stir up a bit of excitement, one day he cried out, "Wolf! Wolf!" when there was no wolf. The villagers rushed out with clubs to drive off the wolf, only to find that there was none. It was such great fun that later on the boy repeated his cry. Again the villagers rushed out with their clubs, only to discover that it was another false alarm. After that a wolf did come, and the boy sounded the warning, "Wolf! Wolf!" but the villagers dismissed his cry as another false alarm. They had been fooled too often.
So it has become with those who proclaim the end of the world. Down through the centuries since Jesus’ day, so many unfulfilled predictions have been made that many no longer take them seriously.

I don't understand...
by Surreptitious inwhat's happened to the post formatting since the days when i posted here frequently.
i'll start new lines but when it posts everything is all jammed together in one run-on paragraph.
also, the font seems different.

I'm now in IE and all is well. I didn't have a tool bar in Firefox. I was trying to remember how to quote and add pics etc...I was thinking, "I don't remember it being this sparse..." lol

Ahh, thanks much! I used IE back then and Firefox now. I'll check the "Automatic Cr/Lf" box and see if that helps.
Thanks again! -
