  I don't like it. Maybe there are satanists out there. But I think this was done by atheists (who don't believe in Satan anyway), perhaps with satanists as allies, done not to push satanism but to annoy Jews and Christians. Leave it to the atheists and satanists to be the killjoys of someone else's party.

  the watchtower teach their followers that the star of bethlehem was sent by non other than satan... however as we take a look at the scriptures by comparing spiritual things with spiritual we begin to see that the star of bethlehem was not sent by satan, but used for the glory of god.a seasonal message to end the year.. watch now here :.

  Why would Jehovah use Magi? I don't think he did. Especially since it attracted unwanted attention to Herod who came too close to destroying the young Jesus. So I think the "star" was sinister.

  Topix forums gone

  i don't know if anyone here did topix or used topix for jw news or other religion news and discussions but today topix dropped all their religion forums, discussion forums, news aggregates, .... everything!

  except for some of their entertainment portals and info panels.

  now i don't have a place that aggregates jw related news.. .

  Meal at Bethel

  an ex bethelite has made a video about the food that was provided at hq's.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxbe9hacqxu.

  towards the end he talks about the new arrangements with the cutbacks.for breakfast if you had served a certain amount of time at bethel or were old enough you could choose whether you wanted to attend breakfast/morning worship or not.

  first year bethels were made to attend to ensure they were watching the morning worship.

  How do you feel about your "Bible studies" now?

  i'm not sure how best to ask this question because of my personal experience-- long story short, i was discovered through informal witnessing back in college.

  i was lonely, away from family, and was touched by the attention and care that was shown to me.

  during the course of many years i became very very close with the sister conducting the study even though we were thousands of miles away.

  <<Wasnt it Daniel chap. 9 that talked about Jesus being cut off in the half of the week (year).which would equal 6 months.

  Since the date of his death was definitely spring (Easter) that would make six months prior the fall of the year. 

  Someone else can come along and explain it better - !>>

  <<I attended Christmas Mass with my mother at her Catholic Church (not as a believer, just to sit with mom) ... interestingly the priest gave two possible reasons for the Dec 25 date, the first he spoke about the early Roman church and the Saturnalia.  I was impressed that he addressed it and actually made it sound reasonable that they adopted it into Christianity.  If the Catholic Church was more up front about such things in the past, it would take away some of the ammo of the JW's.>>

  I'm impressed that the priest admitted that about the Dec 25th date. Still doesn't look good that the basis for Christmas is the Saturnalia.
