Go Wings!
Get to a game Aztec, even when they lose, the wings are fun to watch, they have control of the puck 80% more than the other team and it's great to watch how they handle it.

Gettin' Personal here.......
by Frannie Banannie inthanks to little toe's piquing my interest on this subject, i hafta ask it...... .
has anyone here had any personal spiritual experiences and is anyone here brave enough to describe/relate any personal spiritual experiences they've had, whether pre-borg, during being borganized or post-borg?
to be more specific, have you ever seen any angels or spirit creatures, been made aware of their presence in any way, interacted with or communicated with them, or had dream/visions...etc?

Gumby,
I agree with your thoughts. Just because we can't explain it doesn't make it a "spiritual" thing. My mom loved Roy Rogers, listened to his music and watched the old movies all the time. She even had his pictures up in her living room, decorated it with old western images. Roy Rogers was her childhood hero, sort of a father figure since her own father was a loud mouthed alcoholic. The night he died she woke up in bed, sat straight up and told my dad "Roy's dead". The next morning on yahoo news I read that Roy Rogers had died in the middle of the night so I called her up right away and she said "I know, I don't remember dreaming it, but I just knew real strongly that he had died".
She's had several other experiences like that and now that she's trying hard to be a "good witness" she claims it must be demons or something.
sigh

you need more sleep and less looking at the puter. Whenever I'm at the computer for long days I get that. Good luck,

Great, you handled the discussion with the right attitude and they have to respect that, bravo!
My daughter was about that age (11) when I disassociated and although she would be considered a good little witness, she understood all the reasons behind my decision. She was sitting outside the elder meeting when I disassociated myself, but I knew she was listening in a little (the door was open and nobody else was in the hall that day.) When I walked out she gave me a high Five and told me she was relieved that we could finally get away from it, that she never felt comfortable hearing that her grandma and different ones wouldn't make it if they didn't turn to Jah, etc. She said she just knew that some things were wrong, but didn't know why she felt that way.
We tried not to have to big of grins on our faces as we walked past some witnesses going into the hall to get ready for service. I had made peace with the fact that several "friends" would not talk to me anymore and I was just relieved to have it over with. Good luck and sounds like you handled it very well, congrats!

DOCTOR CLAIMS MILK CONTAINS BLOOD. WILL JW'S BAN ITS USE?
by Kenneson insomeone sent me an interesting article that i would like to share.
granted, it is very lengthy, but worth the read.
dr. kradjian maintains that "...all cows' milk contains blood!

I read Fit For Life too and I always wondered why grown humans thought it was so important to drink milk designed for newborn cows. I do love cheese and dairy products, but now I try to use skim milk to avoid the "stuff" found in the milkfat, but alas, that website has information that makes me want to try the soy products right away. I've learned to incorporate other foods into my diet that are good sources of calcium. Heck, just a handful of raw almonds gives you a daily supply and are easy to carry around in your purse when you're hungry.
bon appetit

Stupidest thing a JW ever told you
by Nosferatu inwhat is the stupidest thing a jw ever told you?
we all know that they say a lot of stupid things, but what really topped the cake?.
for me, it was an elder telling me i was progressing really well when my meeting attendance was down and my field service hours were slipping.

That anything good that happens to me is because the demons don't want me to return to Jehovah.
Anything bad that happens to me is because I left Jehovah.
I can't win either way.
