i think the disfellowshipping abandonement arrangement in human relationships also to be a heavy contributor to this malady:.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/borderline_personality_disorder.
borderline personality disorder (bpd), also known as emotionally unstable personality disorder, is a long-term pattern of abnormal behavior characterized by unstable relationships with other people, unstable sense of self, and unstable emotions.
Yes. Yes, it does. I've seen it firsthand.

I'm not aware of a policy letter on this. The last time I saw this attempted was in the early 90s and it was a disaster. Congregations and circuits took some years to recover. All of a sudden 60% of a congregation changed with a totally new body of elders. It was nuts.
I doubt they'll try that again but who knows?

a girl i've known my entire life who supported me from a distance after i was disfellowshipped sent me this message on instagram today: .
let me know when your back... i'm unfollowing you on ig & snap.
i love you.
It's the convention this year. Heavy, heavy content about absolutely cutting off DFed ones, even by parents and very close relatives. Almost reverses the 1980 position about "necessary business" with family. I would not be surprised to see major revisions to policy to elders about relatives and DFed family members, after which I predict something of a witch hunt about it. They are super serious this time. It is more grasping at straws as they are desperate to determine why there is a decline in the organization. I think the pornography move to make it a DFing offense was the first move in that strategy. The line of thought is "there must be massive wrongdoing in the organization and Jehovah's spirit is being removed" so they go after it.
Pathetic, really.

whether it's videos on jw broadcasting or pdfs on jw.org, all downloads used to be archived in-house at "assets.jw.org/" followed by the items name/code.
now clicking a download link retrieves the items from akamai.net, a web services company..
Akamai also provides edge download services....meaning that when you request a download you get the file from the closest Akamai servers to your area instead of from one place such as New York. This drastically speeds up downloads to end users.
It's a smart move to improve performance of downloads in the field.

in an effort to reduce the number of posts, this year i will try to add links to this post.
now, on with the leaks & releases!
first up.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nzvwhflss4.
Whoever leaked the video is either an Audio/Video department overseer at a convention, a program overseer or assistant on a convention committee, or has the speaking assignment to give the talk associated with this media. Looks like this video comes from the symposium "Pursue What Builds Loyalty" on Sunday morning. Can't tell which talk.
Interesting.

i'm a witness, so i need to know...can we pray for someone that isn't a jw.
reason i ask, once a friend of mine was going for an operation.
i asked an elder could he pray with her before she goes into the hospital.
There is no reason you cannot pray for someone else. JW or not. This is true within the framework of Jehovah's Witnesses and just generally as a spiritual human being.
When I get a few minutes I'll post references. That elder is wrong.

is it a fact that all kh construction earth wide has stopped?
So the brief version of what happened is this. Previously, across the United States branch territory there were LDC (Local Design Construction Department) zone offices - can't remember how many. Very large field staff of special full time servants but very little progress on projects. As of the end of January of 2016, all the field zone offices were closed and most of the field special full time servants that had been recently appointed in 2015 were discharged back into the field. A small number of these folks rolled back up into the branch office LDC department. As of now, all construction across the US branch territory is being supervised by the LDC department at the branch office. I was in complete shock when I heard this.
At the same time, the number of projects for the US for the next twelve months was just to build 50 KHs for the entire country.
I confirmed this with two sources and have seen some practical evidence that is is true. I have said this before and I'll say it again - I cannot for the life of me understand what is going on with this. Clearly, this is a cash conservation effort - and it can't just be about the Warwick project because the sheer scale of the sell off and reduction in project activity. Even internal projects that have small cost to them with the branch office are being discontinued. The only theory that makes sense is either the theory about a huge investment loss of some type (in which case, why not tell the publisher what is going on so that if they want to contribute to make up the loss, they can do so) or they are putting together a huge fund to cover what they believe are contingent liabilities that will surface in the next 18 to 24 months. In either case, with the financial things that are going on and with the organizational changes happening where you don't have a clue what they are going to do next and there is no consistency to anything...I am super uncomfortable and just waiting for the change that makes me say I'm completely done with this mess.

is it a fact that all kh construction earth wide has stopped?
There are two in Texas - one in Burleson, TX (just south of Fort Worth and completed if I heard it right) and one in South Texas (don't remember the city). That's it. All the rest are halted AFAIK. There were numerous projects in the old RBCs in Texas and those are all on hold.
I have more information and I'll post it when I get in a better position to do so. I don't think I've seen posts about the major reorg that went on in LDC at the end of January of this year in the US but I can provide details.

i didn't want to derail another thread, but something said made me wonder.
i know that i noticed df'ed people come in right when the meeting started and leave right when it left most of the time.
is that some sort of actual rule?
There is no requirement that disfellowshipped or disassociated persons do this. The meetings are public, and as long as someone is not disruptive, they can come and go as they like.

hey ya'll!
i have been lurking for years on this site and others but never had the courage to post anything.
actually i was afraid of posting on an apostate site in the event i was wrong.
I would just add this:
There is no productive reason at this point to meet with the elders. You will be wasting your time, they will be wasting theirs. You are not going to change your mind about fading. Nothing they can say will affect the situation. They will be gathering evidence that will be used against your husband as they try to form up the reasons for his deletion. If they have nothing you've said to use, he cannot be harmed by it. He will almost certainly be removed, but that is better for him.
Feel free to PM me anytime.
