Hello! I have never been on a forum before. I was very happy to find this one while I was doing my research finding out THE TRUTH about the religion & just trying to heal from such a damaging religion. I was raised in it from birth by a devout Witness mother. I went off & on for years, but very luckily was never baptized. Now that I just turned 30 it seems like it has been a BIG milestone for me & I am so surprised & amazed at the things {proven history & other facts, not just vicious "apostate" rumors}. I finally am able to begin healing from the brainwashing & guilt instilled in everyone associated with the organization. I tend to find healing/comfort & happiness in metaphysical or body-mind-soul books. Some people call it New Age...but I do not go to any church & am not heavily into numerology, UFO's or similiar things { although I do not have any negative feelings about people who are.
