Dad flew home this morning

my dad has been over from canada for the past month and staying at our house.

it's been so good seeing him even though he's not in the best of health (he's not supposed to fly .

the kids have loved him being here and i was really choked after we said goodbye lastnight and our youngest, dylan, started crying saying he didn't want grandad to go home and insisting on sitting on my shoulders waving till the car was well out of sight.. they are both asking when they can go visit again.. i hate goodbyes and being separated from family by such a long distance.

Your posting really made me think....(very rare, but it does happen from time to time)!!!!!!

I hate goodbyes, and your posting even brought tears to my eyes.. but I have come to the conclusion that being a JW stops you from doing so much with your life, moving, jobs or whatever, so NOW when you have the chance of doing something with your life, and a chance to give your kids a great life DO IT!!!!!!!!

Your family in the NW sound just like mine in the NE... and for so long I ran our lives around them, and when to visit and worry about what would the fmaily think! Now, I don't give a toss, we do want we want to do, when we want to do it!!

So go West my son, go West!!! LOL

Thats my 10 pence worth anyway.

DAing within the next few weeks!

glad to say my internet connection is still up, my parents phoned to disconnect it on monday but its still going.. i havent officially dad yet but it will happen within the next few weeks.

i will also be sending the da letter to all my immediate family.

as soon as they announce my da my parents will be chucking me out but are helping me get sorted for my flat.

Armaggedon pic from new childrens book?

does anyone have this book that could scan the pic?

i heard tell that it was fairly graphic for a childrens book, rather in the spirit of the paradise book of the 50s.. thanks.

The psycho man at the WTS must be having fun! I vividly remember the 'Paradise' Book, and the pictures in that book scared me for so long!!!!!!

Are these people freaks who like to scare you into believing?

The poor JW kids of today are being scared in the same way. This surely is not the way of a 'loving organisation'!!!!

Goodbye My Friends.

her ladyship and i are off on holiday tomorrow.. we're flying to corfu, a greek island not far from the coast of albania.

we're staying in a pub in a village called paleokastritsa in the north-west of the island.http://www.agni.gr/index.htm.

this is our first time ever to greece, so our anticipation is running high!.

we changed the wedding from saturday in order to give the newlyweds a chance to spend the weekend relaxing and getting settled as an official couple.

also, by having it friday night there is a chance, a possibility, that big tex will be able to get the night off so he can give the bride away (*sniffle*).

and there is also a chance, a possibility, that our beloved district overbeer will perform the wedding.
