Does it ever just hit you...It all may be a dream
by LevelThePlayingField inthat the paradise may or may not be real?
that the things you have been taught for many years from the jehovah's witnesses may not really be as they say?
has it really ever really hit you with that "pow" of reality ever?

I just have to laugh a little because my wife wanted to feed the CO during his stay, so we did. Well, I had a doctor's appointment that morning so I came in during their lunch NOT dress in service clothes, just jeans and a t-shirt, said hi and sat down and ate with everybody.
Well, he, the CO was giving his experiences from the field (this was before he got his pink-slip). And I thought to myself, "he's kind of bragging a bit here". But he kept on and on, experience after experience and really didn't give anyone else a chance to talk. This went on for about 20 minutes. Finally it was time for him to go. We shook hands, and he "went off to the field". Yeah!
But now, looking back, that was one of his last meals! :)
Now he's gotta cook, clean, work, do it all himself. AND one more point, in the letter it was said that they were being asked to be "reassigned to the field activity" right? Well that's a crock. All CO's are already pioneers!!

Wonderment - you are so right. In the CO's letter never once is Jesus mentioned. But boy did he beat the the pants out the words "Jehovah's organization". It makes you wonder :(

Ok, now just watch, it's down there on the bottom, so humbly. But it will slowly creep it's way to the main part of the page and become a main button. -

A few of you have asked how old the CO was. He looked to be in his early 50's. His wife looked to be in her mid 40's. They served in NY, PA, OH & MN. He was a CO for nine years. Before the announcement, I noticed though that I didn't particularly care for him much. He didn't really seem that happy of a person to me. He didn't smile when delivering parts, seemed burned out. No jestures, seemed flat. Something to me seemed out of wack. -

I Hate the Sound of the Word Jehovah
by cofty inlistening to clips of the latest manipulative video from the watchtower i realised how much i detest that word - jehovah.. sometimes i have thought it would be interesting to observe a meeting or part of a convention.
every time i heard that word i would be unable to stay in my seat.. i have a visceral reaction every time i hear it.
it stands for so much that i have contempt for.

Dunedain - I just typed it how the letter was read, but the coordinator probably just read it wrong, but yeah, in reality it probably is a typo. -

Sorry Cofty, you wrote some pretty awesome posts, like the one on blood, the best man. But I love the name Jehovah and what it stands for. Now the JW's on the other hand, yes, they need a lot of work.
