Elder harassed my mom and asked for donation
by kaik inmy mom had surgery last month and she developed complication and had to be on antibiotics to treat infection.
so, she is recovering slowly, but things was tough on her and she was not attending kh or went to assembly two weeks ago.
nonetheless, elder showed up at her place and instead providing her with comfort he started to harass her that her faith is weak, she does not put trust in jah, etc.

The value of starting a new topic
by smiddy ini see some members , who have been on this board for many ,many years , who very seldom posted a topic for discussion..i would like to encourage everyone in this situation to re-think there reasons for not starting a subject for discussion.. sometimes after the event , i have thought to myself why did you start that topic ,stupid, however on reading the replies to that said topic , i have learnt a helluva lot more in having done so .in other words i learn a great deal more from the feedback i get from you guys than the question or statement i post.. you might think your question or statement is irrelevant , however to somebody else on this board it may just be the thing they are looking for to help them get through some issue of there own .. so please don`t hold back from posting a subject dear to your heart , or anywhere else .. just saying .

by NVR2L8 inone of the businesses i cover is owned by jws and the father and 2 sons knew me as an active brother until 3 years ago when i told one of them i no longer attend the meeting.
today the father and one of the sons asked me if i was still inactive.
i told them it has been more than 5 years since i last been at a meeting.

you don't know if you are going to win big or if you're just going to come out even or lose your $1 investment.. how do they know there's not going to be another market or housing crash the next day and get pennies for their properties?.
how can they honestly say: "...see where the market goes with it" and at the same time condone other for playing lottery tickets or gambling or leaving things to chance like not getting higher education.

One things for sure, it will be very interesting to see just what they do when the properties sell. This will tell their true motives. Will they do more cut backs, will they start to build more? Just what that is or isn't is what will be the true tell all. And it may not happen right away. They may not do anything after the 'big sale' for a few months. But sooner or later they will make a move. And they will have to do "something" with it because the rank and file are watching now and are aware because they themselves put it out there on JW tv. -
