Finding homes for the former 'bethelites' and 'special pioneers'
by Esse quam videri insince the liberal government has been elected in canada, it seems that people are looking to the future with a little more optimism and hope.
it is only human nature that with change, we would think that the change would be for the better.
the courts have ruled, in canada, that it is unconstitutional to deny the homeless the right to sleep in parks.

Let them do their own dishes for once. Smell their own body odor for once and get introduced to someone who doesn't give a flip about who they are for once. Yeah, that otta bring a little of true humility once to them. -

red flag to a bull those carts can't resist !
by possum inwent to a market yesterday and there it was a cart manned by a middle-aged women and a young one.
in a really respectful, friendly manner i approached them and enquired if watchtower society had done anything about its "two witness policy" post royal commission.
knew nothing of 2 witness rule.

Sparrow down - you said it truthfully. I never thought about it much before until now. Yeah, there isn't much about what their actual reply might be, just offer the literature anyways. -

Where has all the money gone?
by gingerbread ina number of years ago when i was still active, our service group was having a coffee break with the visiting circuit overseer.
during the conversation he mentioned that the "society" was now being run like a business.
being raised in the "truth" i thought that rather odd (and my eyes began to be opened!

Something is definetely up though with the money because there has been several threads on this and NO ONE has been really able to figure it out and there is a number of bright people on this board. WT is into something, just what that is at this point has us all for now, but sooner or later we will know, sooner or later. -

I bought property, not that far from Watchtower land in Warrwick NY.
by Dunedain ini wound up buying 26 acres of land in upstate ny, a few years ago.
i bought it strictly as an investment, due to rumors of there going to be huge development of the area.
it seems like casinos, walmart, and tons of building have started in the area, or are now breaking ground, since i purchased it.

Simple, basic manners would be a good start
by stillin inthe witnesses are really challenged socially.
in their own little world, they seem oblivious to the niceties of saying thank you or that they are sorry for some minor wrong.
these things help life go more smoothly in the real world, like a social lubricant.. i'm simply appalled at the fact that an elder's son, who was married more than a year ago, has never sent out thank you notes for all of the gifts that the congregation gave him for his wedding.

Yeah you're right. I have never ever seen a JW tip well, ever. That's a really good point you brought up Dario. Has anybody seen dub tip well? -

The October broadcast had a segment of "simplifying your life" and it showed a couple who sold their house, the husband quit his office job and the couple started washing windows and they were spending "more" time in the field ministry. So, yes, I completely agree with. They ARE shooting themselves in the foot. All this means less donations for WT. Good! Let it happen. Let people be obedient to that. -

S-109-E WORKING TOGETHER SAFELY Safety Rules and Standards for Volunteer Projects
by wifibandit ingoogle.
https://infotomb.com/sb4uq.
so they have a manual for protecting workers (to avoid lawsuits), but they don't have a comprehensive child protection policy or manual?.

They have victims in both cases right? So it would stand to reason. But WT just doesn't care about the children because in reality they don't have a voice, at least not yet. Victims of workplace safety automatically have a voice, right there on the spot, but not the poor little children, so WT doesn't care. But God does. AND, the royal commission does, and the money hungry lawyers do too. Gotta love them :) -

CO Comes Up With A New Way To Be Judgemental...
by JW_Rogue inat the latest co visit something very strange happened.
during the meeting with the elders and servants he passed out a copy of a hypothetical publisher card and asked us what we could learn from it.
upon receiving it i saw that the average hours were pretty good, it had return visits and quite a few bible studies.

Are you serious? I remember being an elder for years and that would have made me so mad, a comment like that! Like John Aquila would say, 'let's review, it's a cult!' -

Curiosity killed the cat.
by James Mixon indon't you think with all the talk about apostate sites, this is having a reverse.
effect for the rf.
if i was a jw today i would wonder what are all the lies these people are saying.. and i would try defending their truth on these sites, but in each case those that come here.

I would click on the apostate web sites and didn't care. That's what woke me up. I wanted the truth no matter what the cost. That's what made me study with the Witnesses in the beginning and that's what made me wake up in the end.
