  Mill Hill Disfellowshippings

  a few months ago there was a thread about a couple of elders at the mill hill bethel being disfellowshipped because they disagreed with some wt doctrine (i can't recall exactly what it was) and that several other betheliteswere under 'investigation'.

  i haven't heard anything since, does anyone know anything more about this?.

  I have enjoyed reading of your experiences in the London Bethel particularly this bit:

  its just the work we did meant we had to look at the meaning of scriptures in original context and that led to, shall we say, some interesting differences of understanding of course, the fact we all started, quite independently, to preach it to others meant that it became......noticed

  It sounds very much like what Ray Franz recorded as happening in Brooklyn in the late 70's.

  Have you read "Crisis of Conscience"? If yes, can you see a similarity?

  why do they appear so similar?.

  many times i've been accused of using watchtower material in my presentations, when all i really own is a few bible translations and my concordance, which i rely on quite heavily, at times.

  as for owning any watchtower material that i copy from, i have none of that, in my room at all that i use!

  hi all, its time i stopped lurking around here.

  i've been posting at jws for just over a year, i know a few names here and it looks like there is lots of good banter going on.. i am a second generation, born-in who grew up in west-central scotland.

  i pioneered in edinburgh and later married and settled in berwick just south of the border.

  Wouldn't it be interesting to know for how many the "generation" change of '95 was the last straw?

  why i wept bitterly in front of two elders......

  not sure if i ever shared this...but have seen several "sharing" threads here lately and it motivated me..... when i met with the co and po about some doubts and an important question....and when i got the co's answer.....i could not speak....i put my head down and just started crying...not sobbing cause i fought it back...finally the only words to come out were..."i am going to have to leave my wife and son"....and they were like wtf?...but in jw lingo of course.

  see i knew in that instant...that very moment....that i had been lied to my entire life...and my stack of doubts i had been piling on the shelf and waiting on jehovah were all valid....and i knew i would never fit in again...not even with my wife and son...that i would never be the spiritual head they needed and wanted.....that was almost 4 years ago...man time flies...and yep...now i am separated from my jw wife...and yep...i did not fit in...not even with her...and my son is older now and moved out but we are not close.

  btw...i had printed out all 12 places in rev.

  and of course i wrote brooklyn and they confirmed my worst fears...and told me not to tell anybody!!!!...cause it could stumble them....

  the thread started by maximus named gb admits it has no answers, blood ( http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=9056&site=3 ) is chock full of good information and is what this thread stems from.
