  would dubs ever go into field service if there was no record-keeping?

  do you think that any dub would ever go into field service if they didnt have to record hours of service?

  i dont believe it at all.

  in fact, you could see that everything they do is because there is some sort of record keeping behind it, i.e.

  on friday i let you guys know that my final jc was happening on sunday.

  thanks so much for all the comments and well wishes.

  i was nervous before i went - and though i've given up the faith i haven't given up my belief in god and his direction.. two of the three elders have seen me grow up - i was born in the truth.

  Sympahty for Circuit and District Overeer's Poor Wives

  i would like this thread to express sympathy for these poor women, that because of being duped by a typical "end of the world cult", have given up a stable enviroment, suffer god know what as they endure listening to the same booring talk for 6 months, away from friends and family, no home to decorate, under constant scrutiny from the other sisters, etc.... i wouldn't like this thread to degenerate into what bad things these poor victims of an "end of the world cult" have done, but more toward sympathy, to help especially the younger ones who may be reading jwd, and need the courage to do something to get out of this predicament, before they waste thier whole life away slaving for the ungratefull wt organization.. they could use some help here and understanding as well.

  I wonder how many come to hate it over time.

  Quite a few.

  As with everything else it varies;

  Some love it. They enjoy the prestige and the glory. They think they’re somebody.

  Some do it because they honestly believe they are serving God. Remember very few marry CO’s or DO’s. They have usually been pioneering for quite a few years before, and, like many other wives, just go where their husband goes and support him in whatever work he does.

  They may like it or not depending on

  1. Their personality.
  2. Their health.
  3. The particular circuit or district.

  Some absolutely loathe every minute of it.

  As Luna said for some poor women who are not well or need their privacy, it’s hell on wheels.
  It is true that they don’t have to prepare their own meals, but some women love cooking, and their own cooking would be better than some of the meals they are given.

  Another thing to think about is: less than 20% of the CO’s and DO’s have apartments supplied and about 70% have to sleep in a different house/bed every week.

  Also it seems to me that it is harder for DO’s wives because it is more impersonal. CO’s stay in the same circuit for about 3 years. The women can form bonds and actually get to know other women. That is very important for female contentment. On the district work it is assemblies every two weeks and thousands of people. That’s not conducive to relationship building and a big strain for most women.

  why feel sorry for any co/do or their wives? they have an apartment, car, insurance, all paid for by the pubs. plus an allowance(anybody know how much?), plus all expenses paid for by the congo they serve plus all other ass-kissing $ given by elder-wannabees and elders. who wouldn't want a job like that? beets hard labor!

  It’s like this;

  We have been married almost 50, yes that’s fifty years.

  In the beginning it was OK in fact I would say it was good.

  I loved him then, and he loved me.

  But over the years things seemed to change.

  I wouldn’t say that I love him now.

  I would say that:

  I am totally besotted, absolutely and completely crazy about him, head over heels in love, almost to the point of obsession.

  That’s the main benefit as I see it.

  COs and DOs Stuck in the Fulltime Work Because they Have No Retirement!

  i'm talking over 55 years of age that know the gb are frauds, but because they have no retirement benifits worth anything feel forced to hold on to this position.

  man that has to be the worst drag ever.

  remember to copy all secret corospondance to further expose the gb in thier under handed vicious treatment of its member they may come in very handy in the hands of prosecuting attorneys.

  Bethel retirement is for BETHELLITES ONLY. Co's/Do's have to rely on friends or congregations

  You are right in over 90% of the cases CO's and DO's are not taken to Bethel.

  I think DO'S AND CO's get what they deserve when they retire, they can feed on all the bs that they have been feeding the rank and file, they sure as helll don't deserve better. so they have no social security benefits, well if you don't pay in you don't deserve to get any, that's my feeling at least. They have helped to bind peoples minds and hearts so I have no feeling for their plight at all. They are getting what they deserve and their watchtower god, the society, is paying them what they pay everyone else, nothing.

  Has it ever occurred to you that some, perhaps most of them, are actually sincere people who believe in what they are doing?

  I am not sure why you say

  I read in one of your posts that at one time you were an active witness and you went from door to door. Didn’t that help to bind peoples mindm and hearts? Were you not sincere when you did that?

  Were you the only sincere one?

  Why be so hard hearted?

  I know a lot of these people are or were very sincere and do not deserve the treatment they get.

  Someone asked if they go into bethel when they go off the road. Well the answer is that occasionally, very occasionally, some do but that is not the general rule. Generally they just live genteel poverty.

  Again I ask Were you the only sincere one?

  Please be a little more understanding. Remember your hate does not hurt them, only you.
