  One by Metallica is one of my many favorites too. Awesome!

  And also, call me weird, but IMO "Bat Our Of Hell" is a beautiful love song.

  Who owns the KHs?

  a currently in family member has been open to some conversation with me recently and the subject of money came up.

  this person naively thinks the wt don't gotta lot o' dough and without going down apostate routes, i wasn't sure how to prove they are loaded.. anyway i said i thought they owned all the khs and assembly halls and that the value of all that property is a fair whack.

  but she inquired of an elder in her cong who said each cong owns its own kh and if they wanted to sell it in the morning, a resolution on what to do with the proceeds would be put to the cong.

  If KH's are own by the brothers, then, legally, they can teach whatever they want in the KH. What does the lender have to do with what goes on in the KH? Will JPMorgan Chase dictate what is thought in a community bought church? So also, the brothers can also bring any pastor, priest, vicar, etc. to the KH and learn what they want from whom they want. Franchise my foot. The brother can even change the name KH to Bible House, Jesus Temple, or Mickey Mouse Club.

  With so much information put out every second in the communication system, I really don't know what's true anymore. I think that every established society, be it financial, religous, political, what have you, all have secrets and corruption. Will we ever have complete truth?

  there is talk of closing the markets globally and other talk of setting up a one world bank - only a few hold outs with that one.

  The desperate plight of women in Afghanistan!

  women in afghanistan are suffering as the country gradually slips back to 'the old ways'.. what to do about it?

  i don't really know what the answer is, but ignoring their desperate plight is not the answer.. it appears to me, that their dilemma is made worse by the fact that the western invaders claim to be trying to help the women and young girls, therefore, the women, in the eyes of the taliban, have also become the enemy..

  Since I read the novel "A Thousand Splendid Suns" I became aware of the situation with women there. The solution is to kill every efin taliban. What the heck is the US doing there? Looking for Ben Laden? Protecting human rights? So far, neither has been accomplished.

  How will the Watchtower help its members during hard economic times?

  it's good to see many, many churches dipping into their funds to help the needy, the homeless and providing food and shelter for those who need it.. what can be said of "god's organization"?.

  what do they do to help people in these tough economic times?.

  The WTS is too large to monitor in a personal level the necessities of the brothers, not that they care. All they care about is the "spiritual" condition of a person; do they go out in FS?, Do they study the magz?, Do they make donations to the borg? That's all.

  The brothers are on their own when it comes to financial problems. Yet, the WTS limits the education level or work skills a brother should have. How in the name of God could the brothers make donations to the WTS if they barely make a living themselves?

  The WTS forbids the brothers from associating with the world , but it is more than appropiate to take money from the government. The WTS is messed up in every sense of the word.

  Unexpected JW reaction

  i talked to a jw i know and got an unexpected reaction.. i mentioned some of the "conspiracy theory" stuff i have heard...about one taken, one left behind ...and what i have heard about people will be picked up in the middle of the night and taken away to "places".

  this jw took it right in stride and said "yes, that's the way it was done when the nazi's started.

  many jws were killed then...blah blah".
