  i've just been told that a po of a local congragation as well as being one of the anointed has been deleted of everything.

  this man gave talks at the coventions.

  was on stage at the assemblies to talk about how well he did with his family.

  Interestingly, the WT still maintains this viewpoint, denying that the "anointed" have any special divine insight.....

  The exact same statement that appeared in the March 1991 WT has appeared yet again word for word in the:

  Feb.15, 2003 Watchtower, page 20,paragraph 16.

  " Professing to have a heavenly calling does not bring a person special revelations. God has a channel of communication through which he provides spiritual food for his earthly organization. (Matthew 24:45-47) So nobody should think that being an anointed Christian gives him wisdom superior to that of the "great crowd" with the earthly hope. (Revelation 7:9) Spirit anointing is not indicated by proficiency in witnessing, answering Scriptural questions, or giving Bible talks, for Christians with the earthly hope also do very well in these respects."

  Isn't this WT quote shocking?

  Especially considering that all members of the JW Governing Body profess to be anointed.... And considering that the WT teaches that the "Faithful & Discreet Slave class" is made up of the collective group of "anointed" JWs on earth....

  If the anointed do not have any:

  "special revelations"

  OR

  'superior wisdom'

  then it makes sense that neither does the JW Governing Body or the "Faithful & Discreet Slave class", since they all profess to be 'God's anointed'.

  If the WT says that the "anointed" do not have:

  "wisdom superior to that of the "great crowd"

  WHY are the "anointed" in charge supervising and governing the entire JW religion.....

  Also, if:

  "anointing is not indicated by proficiency in witnessing, answering Scriptural questions, or giving Bible talks"

  then that disproves JWs, the "Faithful & Discreet Slave class" and their Governing Body, since they all pride themselves in their numbers and success in preaching, publishing Scriptural literature and giving Bible talks.

  If the "anointed" do not possess any special divine insight then the religious doctrine that the "anointed" teach cannot be of any special divine origin........... as they claim it is.

  WT............Humble or Arrogant?

  many of us know all too well how the wt hierarchy portray themselves and the wt organization itself as exceptionally "humble.

  they often suggest that their "humility" helps to prove that they are, as a whole, the elite men of god.. the wt hierarchy is very dogmatic about the "humility" thing, to the point where openly doubting their great claims will harshly land you in the hot seat.. some of these wt statements are quoted below.

  after reading these wt quotes please tell us if you think these things prove the wt hierarchy to be humble or arrogant.

  .."Why, then, should we criticize one of the brothers for handling the Kingdom interests in a way that the holy spirit seems to direct him? And if the brother is wrong in the way he handled something, we should have faith that the holy spirit will correct him"..

  .."May all of us work with them, recognizing that there is no salvation without humility and a willingness to conformto Jehovahs way"..

  Watchtower 1993 December 1, page 22. "Happy Are the Humble"

  "Then, in any Christian congregation, all , including the ministerial servants, have to show subjection to the elders. Is it not also true that elders are in subjection to the faithful slave class, especially as represented by the circuit overseer? Then again, the circuit overseer needs to be in subjection to the district overseer, and the district overseer to the Branch Committee of the land where he is serving. What about the Branch Committee members? They must be "in subjection to one another" and also to the Governing Body representing the faithful and discreet slave class, which, in turn, is accountable to Jesus, the enthroned King.   The WT hierarchy takes it upon themselves to define what is true humility and what is false humility.

  Below are a couple quotes from WT publications with their definitions of true and false humility.

  "The word translated "humility" in the Hebrew Scriptures comes from a root meaning "to be bowed down."

  Insight, Volume1, pages 1160-1161 "Humility"

  "False Humility. Christians are warned against letting their humility be only on the surface. Anyone who takes delight in a mock humility can become "puffed up without proper cause by his fleshly frame of mind." A person who is truly humble will not think that the Kingdom of God or entering into it has to do with what one eats or drinks or what one refrains from eating or drinking. The Bible shows that a person may eat or drink or may refrain from partaking of certain things because he feels he should, from a health standpoint or for the sake of conscience. Yet if a person thinks that his having a favorable standing with God depends on whether or not he eats, drinks, or touches certain things or whether or not he observes certain religious days, he does not realize that his actions are "possessed of an appearance of wisdom in a self-imposed form of worship and mock humility, a severe treatment of the body; but they are of no value in combating the satisfying of the flesh."Col 2:18, 23; Ro 14:17; Ga 3:10, 11.

  False humility can actually result in developing haughtiness in the individual, for he may tend to think he is righteous on his own merit; or he may feel that he is accomplishing his ends, not realizing that he cannot deceive Jehovah. If haughtiness develops, he will in time be humbled in a way that he will not enjoy. He will be brought low, and it may be to his own destruction.Pr 18:12; 29:23."

  Report out of a WT Branch Office said that Daniel Sydlik of the WT GB recently suffered a heart attack that left him seriously infirm an in need of relearning some basic vocal and motor skills.

  Also, a while back Milton Henschel of the WT GB suffered a stroke that left him seriously infirm and in need of relearning some basic vocal and motor skills.

  Carey Barber of the WT GB is nearly 100 years young.

  Seems like just a matter of time before we hear that yet more WT GB have "finished their earthly course."

  what is the difference between a spiritual person and a good person?

  can a person be good without being spiritual?

  who does god prefer, a spiritual person who talks alot, or a good kind person who helps his neighbor and knows little about the bible and god?

  Most ridiculous statements from the JW stage?

  we have all sat at jw meetings and heard some ridiculous statements that were either shocking or just plain old bunk.

  usually it is the same jw individuals that make those statements time and time again.

  you know the type..... you can almost expect such comments from them.. jws place great importance on what statements or persons are 'stage worthy'.

  The Unhospitable Elder

  we used to have an elder in our congregation that never invited anyone to his house.he was a real moocher, though.

  he was always paying a visit to the "friends" around dinner time.he was single and never had a girlfriend.

  one day a couple of us went to visit him at his apartment, just to see if he would invite us in.
