i really do hate them.. every now and then it does me good to make my views on the cult known as jehovah's witnesses known.
i didn't come to this view slowly or rashly, but over a period of some thirty years or more.
when i think of the futures i have seen shredded, the hypocrites i have seen looking down their twisted noses from the bottom of a pit while they thought they were on a pedestal of righteousness, the children i have seen tortured over issues they needn't have faced, the couples i have seen turn on one another and break apart over this phoney "religion", the children i have seen turn on their parents, brothers and sisters, the selfish things i have seen charlatans posing as christians do, the ignorance of the bible i have seen expounded with the tones and knowing looks of superiority, the tears i have seen shed by caring puppet-people trying to serve god honestly but being forced to do uncaring things by the strings pulled in new york, well....... have i mentioned i hates'em!!!!!!!!.

Can't believe i found this thread, especially as i stunned my friends today at uni by annoucing extremely loudly "I bloody hate that JW religion" - i got a letter, if you could call it that, from the elders this morning what sly cowardly b*****ds they are! Well, reading between lines i'd say i'm now disfellowshipped and long may I continue to be so!
can someone explain the paranoia that exists regarding flashbulbs at the assemblies ???.
i mean, it's not like we have never seen them before and they would draw our attention away from something.
if anything, when you see a lot of flashing lights, it draws attention to the person or event, not to the cameras.
Perhaps it's because it will shock the dubs into life and they'll realising what a load of s**t their listening to! Sorry about s**t word!
we as a family allways wanted a family pet as in (dog ) but as the ministry loomed every weekend ,as well as the meetings we decided that it would be to much trouble ,subconciously the influence came from other members in the congregation ,which in turn came from the elders in turn from the bethel ,allways sprouting on about the ministry first ,you never had time for anything elsemow ,yes a dog would be to much trouble,but now,for the past two /half years my younger children are enjoying the companionship of an animal in the house,as well as 2 cats which we have had for past eight years,.
did you find time for animals.. what did you miss out on ,allso for past 14 years we have had different caravans and motor homes ,.
what did you miss out on when in the borg ,and how did it affect you.
I missed out on being me! I really wasn't cut out for boring clothes and no fun.

so my only bit of post this morning is a letter from the elders, i've been doing battle with them for a few weeks over arrangements for a judicial committee.
well, anyway as expected they "will not enter into any correspondence" nor will they allow a friend to attend the meeting with me but they will meet on friday to finalise the matter!

Just like to say a real big thanks for all your support and brilliant ideas. The more I think about it the more determined I am to give these guys some grief. I work in the Criminal Justice System and I spoke with my Senior at work today, he was so supportive and suggested that their behaviour may be considered harassment so I'm off to a lawyer asap to find out. But either way I don't really care, I just will not be pushed around by them, I refuse to just roll over and accept their judgement with no battle. I don't doubt that they will DF me as soon as they can but I will use their own elder book to present reasons why they should just b****r off and leave me alone and I'll continue to point out how they haven't followed their own procedures correctly so they can't DF me. Then when I run out of arguments, I'll meet with them on my terms, with my tape recorder and my friend/observer/lawyer accompanying me.
From the last conversation I had with my very soon to be ex-husband who is elder in this congregation, they are getting well p****d off. And long may it continue i say.

i was raised a jw but left at age 15, i am the only one in my family to reject the "family" religion.
so, as you probably already guessed i am not the favorite daughter!.

in the watchtower world, woman are just about nothing.
they hold no responsibilities in the congregation except cleaning the toilets and not much more.
we all know that woman are just as intelligent as men, and some could even be good elders.

Gizmo - bl**dy hell, I can't believe that book. That information is so useful. I've been writing to them for weeks and they ignore my requests for more information etc, everytime - no wonder. They must of been horrified when I said I wanted someone with me who could takes notes and support me, I wish I could've seen there faces when they read my 6 page letter but now I'm thinking they probably didn't understand it.
Francois - you are absolutely right. I think I'll continue writing and quoting their own book. Then when I've run out fuel and it looks like they will have a judicial meeting anyway, I'll do what you suggest and just someone with me. Unfortunately, I don't have my own home right now but I'm sure I can come up with something.

So my only bit of post this morning is a letter from the elders, i've been doing battle with them for a few weeks over arrangements for a judicial committee. Well, anyway as expected they "will not enter into any correspondence" nor will they allow a friend to attend the meeting with me but they will meet on Friday to finalise the matter! How loving and caring they are. They had not shown any interest in me for over two and a half years and then suddenly I get notice of a judicial committee, funny that, just when I hear from my elder husband who I've been separated from for the same amount of time, wants a divorce.
Well, anyway, I really would like to p**s 'em off well and truly. I know they fear any adverse publicity or being threatened with solicitors so does anyone know of who I could contact either in the media or of any solicitors that may be prepared to look into this. I'm not overly hopeful on the legal front but if i can find even the smallest niche then i'm prepared to give it a try. I absolutely refuse to be bullied by these men representing an evil organisation any longer.
