i was wondering as i have been lately; did i turn my back on god and am i wrong for turning my back on the organization?.
are there any of you out there that feel like you have a real personal relationship with god with or without religion in your life?
do you still call god jehovah?
Sandy, The distance between what the word "God" points to, and you, is none existent. We can not be separate from what is Infinite and limitless. That so few know this, is simply because we focus attention -- which is really all we have to give -- on concepts, ideas and beliefs of the mind. Seldom are we conscious of this very moment and the endless depth of Being within. Be still, and know. JamesT
i saw a fight break out on the platform between an elder and a unbelieving husband who accused the elder of f---ing his wife.
he then threw the lectern on the floor and pushed the elder.
it was cool.......
At the EXACT same moment the lights went out, the speaker sneezed. Everyone was quiet, and he said, "Oh my...brothers? Sisters? I think I have gone blind. I cant see."
LOL...you gota love that one. Is that really true?

Some good laughs there.
and i can't shake this.
and that's why you are going to have to die.
i love my real people so much, that i can't have you around spoiling things for them.
Hi Berylblue (or should I call you Sapphire?), When I read your posts I sense your dilemma is that your heart simply can not love a god that will kill you if you don't. Honestly, it's humanly impossible for you isn't it. Then, there is your mind with it's deep and haunting JW programming; which says you must love their vengeful and murderous idea of God -- and show it by being one of them (His chosen) -- or you will surely die. What a torn and agonizing place to be in. The mind was not meant to be our ruler and guide. It's a tool only. There is a deeper wisdom and intelligence than the mind. If you truly want peace, I suggest you start looking deeper into yourself than you ever have before. See that your thoughts are just thoughts; passing clouds, and not truth and reality. Truth, is deeper within you. More intimate. What is it that watches the thoughts? What is it that witnesses the feelings and sensations of the body? Feelings that are often the body's reaction to thoughts and so closely linked they are one in the same. Rediscover within you, that which is untouched by what goes on around it. That, which is pristine and at peace. Rediscover yourself and come to know God -- aright.
many bible believers claim that the old testament contains over 300 so-called messianic prophecies.
however, a careful look at such claims shows that at least 80% of these have absolutely no connection with jesus, or with events beyond what the ancient writer was concerned with.. take, for example, the famous example of the supposed virgin birth of jesus.
this is based on the text of matthew 1:18-23 (nasb):18 now the birth of jesus christ was as follows: when his mother mary had been betrothed to joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the holy spirit.

"Hi James, Would you care to explain your feelings on this?"
No problem Gumby, here are my feelings and observations.
Years ago, through much reading and study, it was noticed that throughout the ages there have been those who no matter what religious background or lack of one, or no matter what time period or geographical area, they all awoke to the same intrinsic unitive truth. They intimately and unequivocally realized the nature of the one Source and substratum of all existence. And they discovered it as the center and truth of their own being. We look around us and we see ourselves separate and apart from all else. Here is this tiny vulnerable little "me", and there is this great big frightening universe of not-"me". When there is awakening, enlightenment, realization or whatever word you want to use, the "me" identity drops away; with all it's story and fears, future, past and suffering. In the place of the tiny, frightened and confused belief of who-we-thought-ourselves-to-be, there is nothing, yet everything. No more separations. Infinite Oneness. The experience of this can not be explained as it is beyond the meaning for which words were created. This is what words like "God" and "Christ" point to. They are not fragments, persons, or players in a bigger universe -- as the carnal mind believes and imagines them to be. As long as we focus all attention outward into time and space, movement of phenomena, and our "life story", we miss the discovery of our True-being. Available now within if we have but eyes to see. No one is excluded. You can not be cut-off from Infinity. It can't be taught. There is nothing we need do to earn it. It's just about seeing, living and consciously being That, which we truly already are. JamesTthis is in reply to night warrior's comments earlier.
i agree with you.
change can be and has to be done.

In my earlier post with information on Horus, I said on the last line that: "I have no proof of any of this". It all could be a lie, I don't really know. Personally, I don't really care. I need no proof, one way or the other weather Jesus Christ was real or not. For me the word "Christ" points to something far beyond all the stories, concepts, beliefs and ideas about it. For those like Newlight2 and UnDisfellowssshipped who "need" proof to support their beliefs, is it not up to you to search out proof one way or the other yourselves? It's your need. Not mine. If I may I'd like to ask those in need of a Jesus, a question: What would happen to you if in your hungar to prove Jesus' existence, you discovered conclusively that Jesus never existed -- what then? You would be left naked and with nothing. Perhaps then, with your focus and attention taken off of phenomenal stories, you would find within yourselves the "Kingdom", rather than wasting time worshipping the messenger. Perhaps. JamesT
