Hey sKallywag
Sorry to hear about your issues with your teeth. They actually put me out for this so I didnt feel a single thing.
They started off my giving me some oxygen. After about 10 minutes of that they stuck my in my left arm with an IV. I remember smiling for a second and passing out.
Next thing I know I am waking up in a chair with what seemed like 10 pounds of gauze in my mouth. All in all, it didnt start hurting until I got home and the numbing went away. Then I have been taking perkies like they were candy to kill the pain.
If you doctor gives you the option, I would definately ask to be put out for it... especially for teeth that are impacted.
Not to stress you out any more but it is something you should know... when they pull impacted teeth, there is a change that they might also break your jaw. I was worried about it but my doc said I had nothing to worry about because none of mine were impacted and because I am a male. We tend to have bigger jaw bones.
Good luck hun and let me know how it goes for ya.
