Disgusted with JW Funeral Today!

my son grew up with one of the young brothers in the kingdom and after graduation both him and my son left the kh.

the young man who left the hall fell into the wrong crowd and i mean a really dangerous crowd and as a result of him getting involved in illegal activity he was murdered.

i really feel for this young man, because he was a decent kid.

I feel sorry for this event.

had the same thing for my grandma's funeral. The guy who did the speach did not even knew her, so 10 minutes before the begining he came in a Hurry and asked what was her name, name of her husband, how long were they married and when she got baptised. And, he used this information in the 1st phrase of his speach, then out he was for 30 minutes of WT commercial... This was a "joke" of funeral, but everyone in the family (but me) was waiting for this and took comfort that grandma's funeral was a "Christian" one...

maybe the boy's mother was like this.she needed something to be that way.

it is very sad though...

What naughty things are JWs allowed to do?

in most healthy societies people are allowed to do naughty things without feelings of guilt.. .

what naughty things can jws do?.

my naughtiest moment was rounding up 55mins to an hr in my ministry!

Well anything? Not so sûre but yes the point is not to be caught by elders, or even if you do not do some "wrong" things in a JW point of view, not make other JW feel that you are free

they can use whatever they want to play the "spiritual danger" card and get some people to leave their spouse...or they seperate couples when 1 wants to study with JW and not the other....I've seen their reaction to such situation:for them the split up is a blessing....

Nikabee Paris Port-royal je ne connais que de nom il y a des "discoureurs" de cette congrégation qui viennent parfois dans la notre...presque en tant que voisins... Mais je ne me souviens plus trop des noms je ne fais pas trop attention...et j'ai passé 4heures a Lyon sur la route des vacances l'an dernier...belle ville...tu es venue pour les études?

(well i won't translate this phrase...Chariklo write english from a french iPad is also an adventure;-))

oh and by the way...the donner guest is a great movie...did any of you try "les tontons flingueurs"? Very old movie now i believe you can find it under "monsieur gangster" in some countries...not the same type but in France it is also a monument;-))

Pickler i find it cool to havé a Ducati in your living room...not even possible in a parisian appartement;-)

Wanabefree i don't havé kids. Married for 6years...i certainly want to believe that religion is not the only thing that keeps our couple alive...for all beautiful moments we havé with my wife living other things than meetings songes and praises...but for her Being a JW was a condition to Marry, so if i left she would consider it as a treason...when i look as her personnal history this is understandable. She went through a hard time and thinks that "thruth" saved her mother when things where very bad for her...

Now i know i should not have beeen brutal the 1st time, and this is why i have not spoken of my Doubts since a while with her...just pointing out some disturbing facts at a time...seems to be working as it goes smoothly...

NVR i started making some friends outside, with colleagues. It feels really good;-)

Thanks for this warm welcome.

Well Abible student i have actually seen many JW loving motorcycles. To the summer conventions the 2wheels parking is for me the best place to be. But i know this is a perfect way to have non JW friends too...working on it.

of course my way as a JW is the one of a standard "born in". Parents JW, was raised in but not so much interested,only wanted to go to the meetings to meet my girl(childhood friend and neighbour...) so this is why i got baptised after she got....but she never was interested in me so i moved on and got married to a "sister" i met. Funny thing is now my childhood friend is out, inactive, and i know she has a non JW boyfriend.

so anyway 2years ago I was having issues at work, and the schedule of congrégation was too much for me. In addition to that i had to deal with pressure of elders (including my father in law) to do more in the field, more evrywhere, to be MS, etc. I freaked out one day and told my wife i did not want to be JW anymore...this is the beggining of trouble...;-) now thing get better but at the time she said that in that case we should split up. This is why since then i havé Been on forums like here and others to learn TTATT. Staying undercover in order to keep my family.

for those of you who are still faking meeting attendance and field service, do you still greet the dubs after the sessions?.

because for me, i am increasingly finding it difficult to showcase any fake smile and pretend everything is allright.

in fact, i'm already getting exhausted with the hypocrisy, i just have to remain in for family reasons.

Well. just the same:arriving late after begginig of the meeting and trying to leave just after the last song. I do not want to speak to anyone and hear "how is your service" or "w were helped by the elders today" or other stuff.although some of the people in my congrégation are humanly speaking very Nice fellows..

I fake attendance to meetings and field service for now 2years as I have ben disgusted by the "commercial" ways of the WT: how many hours this month in the field, how many studies, how much....You're a man so. You must be MS or elder you must, you must, you must.....God I thought I was in my job, at the company présentation of results...

But still officially in, because my wife is all about JW, wants to be a pioneer an be a good elder's child...

Also can not leave now because my parents are JW too...we all know the conséquences for being D'D'

Anyway I have hobbies: motorcycles and cinéma;-)

Nice to be there as I have beenn looking the forum for some time now...
