  Are you going to your Company Holiday Party?

  mine is saturday at a nice country club... my boyfriend is taking me, though it's not his cup of tea.. he's a really great guy.. our company christmas party used to be at the omni parker house in boston...very formal.

  tonight i have an association holiday party... (csi...construction specification institute) it's being held at the ica (institute of contemporary art) in boston.

  Yep and have supported it the past three years as well. In fact it is an excuse to pull out the tuxedo as I have MC'd the Company party each year.

  It is a great opportunity to show corporate leadership, have some fun and at the same time privately snub my nose at the years of not enjoying the good will that bubbles to the surface this time of year.

  It is amazing to me that some of the dolts that sit on the senior management table don't get it. This is an opportunity to be visible as a leader and they are quite content to sit in the corner like every other employee. Works for me. All in attendance view me as the next Provincial General Manager while those who really want the job sit quietly in the background.

  yes, simon...hit me over the head.. but i can't help but wish she (prisca) would be back here.. i've spent time with her in-person; finally-free can attest to her sweetness.. on-line : well she's a formidable challenge sometimes; but a heart as big as herself.. i hope we'll allow her back here during the last days of this forum.. she has not asked: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lltg3iwoqe8.

  even meeting them?......i have quite a few friends here....some i have met...some i have not......but i am really amazed at how well you can get to know and appreciate other people here, without ever having met them in person....i guess the kids with the myspace and facebook etc....are used to it...but i had never even visited any type of online community except for a car or motorcycle question!!!..........

  there are so many of you here i would love to have over to my apostabeachplace....which i could arrange on my apostaphone......and if i ever do win the lottery,i will fly you in on my apostajet.............oompa.

  You can become very close but just don't fall in love with a screen name. Despite phone calls, shared intimacy, etc it can all come crashing down around you. Remember these are strangers, albeit most with bonafide good intent but there are users and fakers.

  Don't share too much or give too much of yourself if the person isn't willing to meet halfway.

  I have heard and read many claims of SRA primarily focusing on areas of the west coast of the United States.

  Having been at Bethel for 11 years I can swear that I saw absolutely no evidence of ritual abuse, satanic or otherwise, except for the emotional/psychological abuse common throughout the Cult of Jehovah's Witnesses.

  I believe there has been some isolated examples of perverted and sick actions by people who happened to be within the Jehovah's WItness congregations but it was not sanctioned nor part of the Organization's practices.

  Some victims of this sort of abuse are damaged emotionally and can often attempt to put disjointed memories or thoughts together so they can make some sense. I don't think the Pat Garza's are intentionally lying but I do believe their perceptions, memories and sense of balance are not completely straight.

  has anyone else noticed that people were completely screwed up today.

  i had people at work freaking out, that normally are normal, others picking stupid battles just for the sake of fighting.. i hit my favourite pub tonight to forget about the day and ended up 'bouncing' three different beligerents.

  all three at least 6 inches shorter 50-70 lbs lighter yet they insisted on attempting to throw punches and generally cause a scene.

  Has anyone else noticed that people were completely screwed up today. I had people at work freaking out, that normally are normal, others picking stupid battles just for the sake of fighting.

  I hit my favourite pub tonight to forget about the day and ended up 'bouncing' three different beligerents. All three at least 6 inches shorter 50-70 lbs lighter yet they insisted on attempting to throw punches and generally cause a scene. (background - I am about 6'5" 260 lbs and used to teach arrest/restraint procedures and handcuff training) Two ended up getting arrested and one taken home by friends. I am not even going to get into the women that wanted to toss it up with pretty much any other gal. Hen-fights.... now that is scary!!

  So needless to say it was not exactly what I would call a restful evening. Did anyone else find it a weird day overall?

  No one can say for 100% certainty what happens after that. So we have this life to make a record or an impact.

  Therefore, what you do with this life is the only thing that matters to those who are aware of this life. Bottom line... be good to each other.
