  Why is it that everyone always has to coddle to the demands of these fringe religions? They want their religion yet they want everyone else to confrom to their standards and to change the rules to accommodate them.

  Fine you don't play Sundays, then forfeit the games scheduled. Not playing is their choice and right. It is not right that all the other teams become inconvienced by them.

  I know logic and religion don't mix well but this is a GAME, they PLAY basketball. When did PLAYING become against Sabbath rules?

  Who read the WHOLE bible at least once?

  how often did they tell us that we should at least once read the whole bible from cover to cover.. i never did that, why, because i was overloaded with meetings and field service, and my job.. did you??

  As a newboy at Bethel I had to do it in a year. Got little from it.

  I did it again but over two years. Got a lot more from that. SO I did it again but used a different translation.

  Then did it again over 2 years using a third translation. and kipped 2 years and did it again cover to cover but over a 4 year period comparing NWT to the Living English and King James.

  After which I got a life..oops I mean .... Actually by that point I was concentrating on leaving Bethel service and stopped the personal research. I had seen enough that I knew it was time to quit.

  So are some of you are essentially saying the JW's were right in boycotting the music of known gays and lesbians simply because the performers were gay? they disagree with the personal opinion or lifestyule of the artist so they boycott it.

  You have every right to listen to who you want. You say you don't care about what their political opinions are, but yet you would refuse to buy their music because of their political stance.

  The right to be patriotic yet hold a contrary opinion and even express it is fundamental to the fabric of the US. People condemn the Elders and the Society for wanting everyone to march in step and now during wartime fervor some of these same voices are demanding other Americans now march in step.

  I guess much like your name (Freedom), those Americans were exercising their freedom of expression, belief and thought.

  You oppose that?

  They have a forum (their audience) the same way journalists have their audience (forum). Is it wrong for them to use an available forum to express an opinion? From the report they simply stated an opinion. There was no attempt to force that opinion to be held by others.

  From your comment, you feel they can hold an opinion but shouldn't have the freedom to express it?
