Dr Phil "... tells me to shun wife and children? They can kiss my ass"

i just happened to catch dr. phil today and i realize it's a replay from months perhaps years ago i don't know but that title is exactly what he said with reference to watchtower governing body.

" if i go somewhere and my wife and family aren't welcome, then i'm not welcome.

somebody tells me that i am to shun my wife and children?

i just watched it also. it sickens me to think i wasted so much of my life in that cult. i liked the way dr phil breaks it down but unfortunately i dont think the husband was comprehending. she seemed like a drama queen and would say anything to get her way

Should it be considered sexual harassment?

on thing that really makes me angry and disgusted is when i think of the way in the past that the elders pressured me over and over again to have a meeting with them over a petty make out and petting incident.

they asked such instrusive, personal questions like, “did he touch your breast, for how long?

under or over your clothes?” i know that this happens to thousands of people, especially young women, and it’s just not right, it makes me so angry that i almost feel tempted to confront the elder who especially did this, when i see him at the convention in a few weeks and tell him what a sick person he is and how much trauma he caused me, manipulating me and pressuring me to answer such instrusive questions while he sat there and took notes!!

seems like such an obviously correct decision to overturn the previous overreach - it should never have been necessary to go to the supreme court but happened because the rights of the religious were being ignored.. as the fundamental level, no one should be able to compel you to work for them or to provide services that go against your beliefs, and certainly not have the government be able to force you to comply.. if this was allowed there would be so many unreconcilable situations that would clog up courts over nonsense.. i also have little patience for these activists that intentionally look to be offended.

it really doesn't do their cause any good to go round looking to make trouble for people.

@LoveUniHateExams - i never claimed that a black couple can't get a wedding cake in Hicktown, Texas. im not familiar with texas at all.

And I have seen those in the south. Where even the coffee shop in the middle of town is called the Koffee Kup Kafe (KKK) and clan rallies are held in the park in the middle of town - really? Would this town bake a wedding cake for a black couple? Again, name the town(s).

yes they absolutely exist in the usa. i can name one in the midwest that i lived near but am not going to reveal where i am from. Head of the KKK. Every year they are in the city parade. Blacks dont live there. Fights break out when neighboring schools play football if one happens to be on the team.
